At the Hawks, isn't something you wear. It's something you play for.
The name on the back tells people who you are.
The name on the front tells people what you stand for.
It's getting the bunt down for your teammate.
Backing up a throw that might never come.
Taking the extra base. Cheering the loudest from the bench.
For us, baseball has never been about individual glory.
It's about the teammates beside you.
The community that supports you.
Every run scored, every dive and slide, every training session, every game day moment is bigger than any one player.
When we pull on a Hawks jersey, we represent something greater than ourselves. We play for the name on the front, not the name on the back.
The players who came before us.
The players who will come after us.
That's what means.
