"Not all pool water is the same". 💧

When choosing a swim school, parents naturally look at the instructors, class size and timetable. But the water itself shapes every minute of a child’s lesson.

At Future Swim Rouse Hill, UV and ozone treatment work alongside our regular chlorine system to help manage contaminants and support cleaner, clearer and fresher-feeling water.

For babies and young children, a comfortable pool environment can make it easier to relax, participate and enjoy learning.

Combined with our continuously heated pool and warm indoor facilities, it is part of the care we put into every lesson—especially through winter.

Because great swimming lessons begin with an environment designed for little swimmers.

💦Warm water isn’t enough.

For young children to enjoy swimming in winter, the whole experience needs to feel comfortable not only the moment they enter the pool.

At Future Swim Rouse Hill, our pool is continuously heated and our indoor facilities are kept warm, helping little swimmers stay comfortable before, during and after each lesson.

That means winter does not have to interrupt the activity they love or the skills they are building. Children can keep moving, learning and growing in confidence in a warm indoor environment all season.

Winter outside. Warm swimming inside. 💦

👉 Is your child’s swimming pool using technology to create a cleaner, healthier swimming environment?

At Future Swim Rouse Hill, we have invested in advanced UV and Ozone water treatment systems to help keep our pool water cleaner, clearer and fresher.

Working alongside regular pool sanitisation, these technologies help reduce chloramines, the compounds commonly associated with strong chlorine odours, red eyes, and skin discomfort, creating a fresher, more comfortable swimming environment that's gentler on swimmers' skin and hair.

Combined with our continuously heated pool and warm indoor facilities, babies and young children can enjoy a comfortable swimming experience throughout winter. 👶💦

From a baby’s first gentle splash to every new swimming milestone, we carefully maintain the environment where children learn, grow in confidence and have fun.

⚠️ 183 young lives in 10 years - a reminder every parent should take seriously.

Between 2015 and 2025, 183 Australian children aged 0-4 lost their lives to drowning, with 65% of these incidents occurring in swimming pools.

👶 One-year-olds are especially vulnerable, accounting for 40% of drowning deaths among children under five across 20 years of Australian data.

These numbers are not shared to create fear. They remind us that water safety should begin early, not only when summer arrives or when children are older.

🏊 Swimming lessons cannot replace:
👀 Close adult supervision
🚧 Secure pool barriers
❤️ CPR knowledge

However, starting early can help children gradually build water confidence, familiarity and essential foundational skills.

💙 Give your child the opportunity to learn in a warm, caring and supportive environment at Future Swim Rouse Hill.

💦 Start their swimming journey today.

When learning to float on their back, a lot of swimmers naturally want to tuck their chin and look down at their toes to see what’s happening. But here is the secret: where the head goes, the body follows!
Tucking your chin actually pushes your hips down, causing your legs to sink like an anchor.

The Fix: Simply looking straight up at the ceiling (or the sky) and letting your ears rest completely in the water tilts the pelvis up and lets your body float effortlessly to the top.

Try it out in lessons this week—keep those eyes on the sky! ☁️✨ Register your interest with us and our team members will be in touch to organise a Free Trial class for you https://tinyurl.com/ync2revu

When it comes to mastering a great float, relaxation is a superpower. 🧘‍♂️💦
Often, when swimmers try really hard to float, they stiffen up their muscles. Ironically, tight, tense muscles actually make the body denser and much heavier in the water, making it harder to stay afloat!
How to help your swimmer relax: Have them practice breathing out long, slow bubbles and letting their arms and legs go completely heavy and loose—just like a wet noodle or a sleepy starfish. The softer and more relaxed their body is, the more the water will naturally lift them up.

🌟 SKILL OF THE MONTH: FLOATING! 🌟
This month, our swimmers are focusing on one of the most vital water safety skills there is: the back float 💙
Floating isn’t just a stepping stone to learning strokes; it is a critical survival skill. If a swimmer ever gets tired, overwhelmed, or needs a rest in the water, rolling onto their back to float allows them to breathe, rest, and regroup.
