Castle Hill Remote Control On Road is a not for profit club racing 1/10th scale electric remote control cars. Primary track venue is the Undercover Ring at Castle Hill Showground in a suburb of Sydney, Australia with racing on Friday nights. Originally operating as Castle Hill Raceway, the club name was changed to Castle Hill RC On Road in 2017. Track is 700sqm plus extra space for pit areas and c

anteen facilities. Surface is concrete painted with Boral Coat for added traction and is undercover with lighting. Castle Hill RC merged with Whalan Model Car Club in May 2020 and will be running electric club days and events at Whalan.

📣 Castle Hill RC OnRoad will be hosting the 21.5 Worlds with support classes of Formula 1 and Novice at Castle Hill Showground.

🟢 Monday October 5th (Labour Day Public Holiday)
➡️ 3 Qualifiers and 3 Finals for all classes
➡️ Racing to commence at 9am.

📍 Location: Undercover Ring, Castle Hill Showground, Doran Dr Castle Hill NSW 2154.

🟢Classes:
➡️ Novice/Junior 21.5 Touring Car
➡️ 21.5 Worlds
➡️ Formula 1

🟢 Normal Club day race fees apply.
➡️ Juniors (15 years and under) $5
➡️️ Club Members First Class $10
➡️ Non members First Class $13
➡️ Additional class $5

🟢 Tyres:
Racers are to supply their own tyres.
➡️ F1. Tyres are open
➡️ Novice: Tyres are open.
➡️ 21.5 Worlds: Tyres are open. Only one set can be for the race meet in qualifying and finals. Tyres must be presented to scrutineering before the first qualifier and will be marked.

🟢 Other Information:
➡️ Cross entry permitted between F1 and 21.5
➡️ Racers entered in Novice/Junior can not enter 21.5 but are permitted to enter Formula 1
➡️ Racers 15 years and under can race in the 21.5 and it is not mandatory to race in the Novice/Junior class
➡️ All competitors must supply their own transponder.

🟢 Closing Dates for Entries and Payment Process
➡️ Entries Close Friday October 2nd 2026.
➡️ Payment for Entry Fees can be made on the race day (Oct 5th) or at a Castle Hill Club day prior to the event.

📣 The upcoming RCRA rule change proposal will be available for review at race control over the next two Friday nights. For our Castle Hill members attending the Whalan meet this Sunday morning, a copy will also be available for review there.

The committee needs your feedback to decide how the club should vote on this proposal, so please take a look and let us know your thoughts.

❓Have questions? Chat with Chris or Rob. Both attended a joint meeting with the RCRA and other EP clubs on Wednesday evening to discuss the details.

📣 Earlier today, The Hills Shire Council published its formal proposal for the upcoming Showground Main Arena upgrade. This aligns with previous communication provided to the club regarding major development works scheduled for the latter half of 2026 for the arena.

If you would like to review the proposal and contribute a submission, you can do so via the link provided in the Council's post. Please note that all submissions must be lodged by June 30.

Council intends to minimize disruptions to regular Showground hirers. However, they have advised that intermittent interruptions to our standard racing schedule remain a possibility throughout the construction period.

📣 When we pulled up to Castle Hill this afternoon, we honestly didn't think we'd be racing. The track was covered in puddles, from yesterday’s downpours and last night's heavy rain. But a massive shout-out to everyone who grabbed a broom or a blower! Thanks to an incredible team effort, and a welcome peek of sunshine, we managed to clear and dry the main part of the track.

Track setup and practice was delayed, but we had everything firing on all cylinders by 5:15 PM! 🏁

📣The official registration of SMCC with NSW Fair trading has been completed by the Whalan Sub committee.

The next step is the very first meeting of the new club to elect Office Bearers and Committee Members on Sunday 24th at Whalan Reserve. The meeting will commence at 9am & will be going ahead irrespective of the weather on the day. The track will be closed for practice during the meeting

➡️ First Item of business: We’re making sure all Castle Hill memberships stay active and roll over to our new club for 2026. A seamless transition of all Castle Hill members to the new club until the end of the year.
➡️ Second Item of business: Electing the leadership team to guide the club forward.️

🙏 We would like as many of our Castle Hill members to come along to have a say in the future of Whalan.
