I can’t believe what they’re saying!

Wall sites are a great exercise for knee tendon rehab. Like any isometrics, they can put a large amount of load through the tissue without the aggravation caused by moving through full range.

This doesn’t make them an ideal exercise, and it doesn’t mean that doing them for 30 days will revolutionise your health.

30 days isn’t that long. 90 days is a better rime frame to be looking for real improvement, and doing more than just wall sits, whatever your goals, would be better.

Honestly a lot of things do just get better in time. Even a pretty serious injury can heal on its own.

BUT

Some things do need intervention for the best result; my finger would never have got useable without rehab.

Somethings don’t get better on their own. The old wait and see, or rest it approach just delays your journey.

A clear marker is how it feels a week later. No improvement at all, you probably need help. Feeling a lot better? It will probably be OK.

Of course if you hit 3 months and it is still an issue, it’s time to get help.

And obviously if it is catastrophic go see someone straight away!

I bet you didn't know all of these.

Bands are often underrated for what they are best at, and overrated for weird stuff.

Meanwhile our hands are considered necessary for almost everything, but if you can't use them, or they aren't strong enough do you just give up exercising? Not at all! There are some easy ways around not being able to grip.

If you want more simple tips for your injury rehab, make sure you follow

We are on the verge of a new adventure.

Bigger than anything we’ve done before, with a smaller companion than ever before.

If I’m a bit slower to reply for a bit, I hope you understand :)

Yes this genuinely only takes 10 minutes. Here’s the sets and reps:

World’s Greatest Stretch- Each side twist for 30 seconds, then 1 minute stretch where you need it most

Swivel Hips- 1 minute back and forth

Butterflys- 1 minute flapping, 1 minute stretch hold

Lower Back Flex- 1 minute

Swivel Hips Set 2- 1 minute back and forth

Lower Back Flex Set 2- 1 minute

One minute spare to change between exercises.

Progression:

The world’s greatest stretch can be progressed by increasing your range of motion and depth of stretch.

You can add load to swivel hips by doing one leg at a time and pressing down with the other leg.

Butterflys can be loaded with dumbbells on your knees.

The lower back flex can be loaded by laying face down on a bench with your legs off the end and performing the same action. As this gets easy move higher so you can hang your legs straight down.

Save this post so that you can keep working on your hips and remember how to progress when you need to.
