We are thrilled to announce that Nick Hallam is locked in for the 2026/27 season, returning for his second year as playing Assistant Coach πŸ”₯🏏

A masterclass in touch and timing, making the hardest gaps in the ground look entirely vacant. Known for his high cricket IQ and an anchor in our batting line up, Nick brings pure class to the crease.

More importantly, his passion for growing our club on and off the field embodies everything we stand for!

Super excited to see what this season brings for you Nick! Looking forward to having you, Alyce and Louie back around the club πŸ’™πŸ’›

We are absolutely stoked to announce that James Burns has recommitted for season 2026/27! 🏏πŸ’₯

If you’ve been around the club for a while, you already know what Jimmy brings to the table. He has been the backbone of our bowling attack for years, regularly walking away with bags of wickets and topping the club charts over multiple seasons! πŸ™Œ

He’s the ultimate workhorse on the field, the first to help out around the rooms, and a great bloke to share a laugh with after the game.

Looking forward to see what this season holds for you, mate! Let’s go grab a few more poles this season! πŸ’™πŸ’›

πŸ”₯ HE’S BACK πŸ”₯

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that the big hitting, boundary clearing machine Troy Griffin has recommitted for the 2026/27 season! 🏏πŸ’₯

He’s coming off a massive year where he earned a well-deserved spot in the BPCA All Star Team of the Year for his outstanding batting performances - including two centuries!

But as much as we love watching him clear the boundary, he’s also a ripping bloke off the field as well! We look forward to having him and his family back again this season πŸ™Œ

Can’t wait to see what next season brings for you Troyza!! πŸ’™πŸ’›

St Leonards Cricket Club community,

Please find information below regarding Stewart McIntosh’s farewell received from the McIntosh Family.

β€œFor those who would like to be there to farewell dad (Stew)πŸ’œ

We will be casually gathering together to honour and celebrate dad’s life on Saturday, 9th of May 2026 at 13th beach from 1:00pm to 3:30pm. A specific spot will be decided closer to the date. We’ll more than likely head to the Barwon Heads pub afterwards.

Please bring along a beach/camp chair and any stories you may have to share of dad.

We will provide some finger food and soft drinks, but feel free to bring anything along.

Please reach out to Michelle McIntosh or Tylah McIntosh, so we have an idea of numbers. πŸ’œ

Thanks so much

The St Leonards Cricket Club is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Stewart McIntosh.

Father to Nixon, Tylah, Rhiana and Kalysha, Stewart only played 26 games for the Saints (Cap 545) between 2010 and 2013, but he left an incredible legacy - especially his achievements in that wonderful summer of 2011-12.

BPCA - Barry Cox Medal for C Grade Cricketer of the Year.
BPCA - C Grade Bowling Average winner.
St Leonards - John McVeigh Medal for Club Champion.
St Leonards - Les Brennan Award for Best Clubman (Jointly with Gary Egan)
St Leonards - One century, 111 v Queenscliff.
St Leonards - 7-14 and 5-16 for match figures of 12-30 v Port.

His time with the Saints was short but he leaves many friends here, as he does within his life as a whole, and the President, Committee and Members, along with Players past and present extend their heartfelt sympathy and condolences to Stewarts' family and friends at this extremely sad time.

Rest in Peace, Stewart.
