🚧🌿 Trail Working Bee Update 🌿🚧

Things are progressing well on the trail working bee, with the trail receiving a great clean-up and a range of improvements along the way.

Rotary members and Friends of Rotary have been working hard to ensure the trail is safe and in the best possible condition for the upcoming Rail Trail Run & Ride. From vegetation management and trail maintenance to signage and safety improvements, there has been plenty of work happening behind the scenes.

A huge thank you to all the Rotarians and Friends of Rotary who have generously given their time, effort and in-kind support. We are especially grateful to those who have provided machinery, equipment and tools to help bring the trail up to top-notch condition and deliver the best possible experience for runners, riders and all trail users.

👏 Your support and commitment make a real difference.

🚜 Please note that Rotary members and Friends of Rotary will be continuing work on the trail tomorrow. The trail remains open, but please take care around work areas, follow any directions provided and be prepared for minor delays.

Past Participant Spotlight | Zac Harris

For Zac Harris, the Rail Trail Run & Ride is all about good people, good trails and the simplicity of getting out there and running.

After finishing second in 2023, Zac returned in 2025 with one goal in mind: break four hours in the 54km Ultimate Challenge. He did exactly that, taking the win in an impressive 3:53.

What keeps him coming back? The relaxed atmosphere, strong community and a course that offers something a little different. With its low elevation and fast trails, Zac says it's the perfect place to test your limits and chase a PB.

Zac's advice to anyone thinking about entering? Give it a go. Whether you're new to trail running, looking to step up your distance or chasing a fast time, there's an event for you.
