VALE Barrie Wrigglesworth:

Barrie Wrigglesworth began his football career in 1960 playing with Sale Thirds.
His Senior football career began in 1962 beginning as a defender.
In the late sixties he was moved to the half forward flank and earned a reputation as a regular goal sneak.
He was noted for his long torpedo punt kicks which earned him numerous goals for the Magpies.
He reached the 100 senior game milestone in 1965 and retired from football in 1967. Following his playing days he continued to serve the club in a voluntary capacity firstly as Treasurer in 1983 a post he held until 1990 then was elected club President in 2004. Barrie was named in the 1960’s Team of The Decade and was awarded Life Membership in 1970.

Our new SFNC caps have arrived and are looking fantastic!

If you have pre-ordered a cap and would like to collect it before heading to Bairnsdale tomorrow, please send us a message via the club page to arrange a pickup time.

If you're unable to collect it beforehand, caps will be available for pickup at the clubrooms next Thursday.
