I have wanted to be a pilot since I was 4 years old. I joined the RAAF in the mid ’80s flying Macchi jets, VIP Bizjets and radial engine Caribou tactical transport. I began instructing with the RAAF PC-9 Roulettes aerobatic team. In 2015 I switched to the PC-21 and still fly them for the RAAF training instructors at Central Flying School in East Sale. I have more than 10000 military flying hours and have been flying the Nanchang for more than 20 years.

We tailor our flights from mild to wild as everybody's different. In this case, Adam wanted a mild flight, and that's exactly what we did, as after all, he is the mission commander and decides what we do. Therefore, he was more than happy with his aerobatic flight, as we only did what he was comfortable with. So the fun box was ticked, but don't thank us, thank Bek who got the gift.

One of the genuine privileges of flying for Combat Flights Gippsland, is the ability to potentially forge new careers. This is a classic example of that. Zhang is a Chinese pilot and absolutely jagged it. He literally saw us flying past whilst he was driving, turned into Combat Flights Gippsland and booked his flight right there and then. So up we went, and didn't he just marvel at the Chinese engineering. What a fun machine, and he even got a bit of a fly to boot. You can see him trying to fight the G with his arms! This is a day he won't forget, especially as he ordered the high definition video to remember it by. It's really cool to fly a Chinese aircraft with someone who can translate the instruments for me! Haha!

Andrew completed a warbird aeros mission with us and loved it. So naturally he purchased a voucher for Krystal so she could experience it herself. And so she did - right over the farmhouse as well. It was definitely worth the wait as you can see from Krystal's smiles. Everyone is a winner!

Meet Gippslander Brendan. He is an Army veteran and it turns out we have probably flown together in a previous Defence Force life. Not only that but Brendan amazingly bounced back from some serious injuries and now he has been rewarded with an action packed warbird flight. How good is life eh mate? Well done Brendan.
