Whilst the emotions are still high from our Premiership win, we unfortunately had to say goodbye to our overseas player for the 25/26 season - Sammy Ashman!

Sam has been exactly what we were looking for this year, in every aspect. His cricket ability spoke for itself but it was the way he fitted in, treated people and carried himself on and off the field that made him the perfect Two Blues player.
His season included over 800 runs, 20+ wickets, 9 catches with one impressive T20 100 and a 99 ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿผโ€โ™‚๏ธ

He spent hours on the roller, coaching junior and senior players and just overall made our club a better place. His passion and commitment to the club was put on display with a 20 over spell in the Grand Final - vital part of the game which we will never forget.
We wish the boy the best of luck for his UK season and hope to see him again next year!

Always a Two Blues Premiership player ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’™

๐Ÿ† HDCA CHAMPIONS ๐Ÿ†

The third day of the Grand Final saw us crowned HDCA Premiers for the first time in our proud 150 plus year history.

With a first innings lead, we just needed to bat the day out to secure victory. Thats exactly what we did with the top order locking in and getting the job done. Hollis and Chapple faced 320 balls between them to ensure the win. The game was called after 66 overs before a few days of celebration kicked off.

Gurpal Singh was named Man of the Match for his vital knock of 49 under pressure in the first innings. Legend!!!

The win sees us become the only club in history win premierships in the Portland, Warrnambool and Hamilton Associations. Something that everyone involved in the club, past and present has contributed to. This one is special!

We would like to thank all of our unbelievable sponsors for the continued support this season, in particular the Beyond Bank Portland Branch. None of this success would be possible without you and we are looking forward to continuing to partner in the future.

Thanks to all who followed along this season. We will be back to do it all again soon.

T20, ONE DAY & TWO DAY CHAMPIONS!!!

๐Ÿ’™ WEEKEND RESULTS ๐Ÿ’™

Day 1 and 2 of the HDCA Grand Final saw the boys win first innings and maintain a 21 run lead.

Sent in to bat, we made a solid start before a cluster of wickets saw us at 7/99. Gurpal Singh and Mathew Belden put on an important partnership of 70 runs. We were eventually bowled out for 184 with Tyrendarra finishing Day 1 at 0/20.

Day 2 started very well with our bowlers making early inroads getting the opposition to 5/47. Some resistance evened up the game before we finally dismissed Tyrendarra for 166. Unbelievable efforts from our bowlers in warm conditions - Payne 3/16 (6), Evans 3/41 (33) (20 maidens), Barbary 3/64 (26) and Ashman 1/39 (21).

The game will continue next Saturday for a third and final day. Tyrendarra require a reverse outright to win.

Thanks to all the legends who travelled up to Hamilton and showed their support both days!

One day to go.

๐Ÿ’™ GRAND FINAL TEAM SELECTION ๐Ÿ’™

Here is your A Grade squad for the 2025/26 HDCA Grand Final!

The 3-day final commences this weekend with the third day to be played on the following Saturday. The boys are looking to add to their T20 and One Day titles to cap off an unbelievable season.

It would be great to have some support up in Hamilton over the three days. If you cant make it, the games will be streamed via FrogBox.

Once again, a massive thank you to our sponsors for their continued support across the season. We wouldn't be in this position without you and are looking forward to partnering again in seasons to come!

๐Ÿ’™ WEEKEND RESULTS - SEMI FINALS ๐Ÿ’™

A Grade hosted Gorae Portland and elected to bat on day 1. A solid start set up the innings before several wickets fell through the middle order. An important 10th wicket partnership got us to a defendable score of 186. Our bowlers had a great start with early wickets and a run out before the opposition steadied through the middle overs. A mix up between the wickets saw another run out which broke the game open before the tail was cleaned up. The win secures a position in the HDCA Grand Final vs Tyrendarra, commencing next Saturday!

B Grade also played Gorae Portland in a do or die semi. Batting first, the side got to a strong score of 171 thanks to some quality hitting from Ash Ellijah and Scott Hamilton. The bowlers took regular wickets to keep the game alive but were just a few runs short with the target being chased with two overs to go. Great effort to take the game deep against strong opposition. Although a disappointing finish, a season to be proud of for the B Graders with such a young side.

Exciting week to come as the club prepares for yet another Grand Final!

๐Ÿ’ฅ GORDON HOTEL PLAYERS OF THE WEEK ๐Ÿ’ฅ

A GRADE - DANIEL KINGHORN

Daggy continued his ripping form with 4 wickets in a massive spell of 25 overs. The tough conditions in Pigeon Ponds did not slow him down as he heads into finals as a massive weapon.

B GRADE - ASH ELIJAH

Ash was back to his best on the weekend with a quickfire 50. His innings ensured the B Graders got back on the winners board and secured a position in the finals.

Thanks to the Gordon Hotel for sponsoring us for the 2025/26 season ๐Ÿ™Œ
