Definitely not the ending we expected…

After taking the W in the first 2 rounds of chicago shootout we fired the engine of the little red torry for the 3rd to an un-wanted engine noise.

With a potential head gasket problem we have unfortunately bit the built and opted for a can instead.🍻

Take the good with the bad and we will keep you all posted on the overall outcome.

Tatchie taken the wheel today and completed 3 passes all running consistent 7.0sec with good reactions putting him in a great position for the next 3.

G’day race fans! 🫶

After the torrential rain that smashed us at Sunraysia Drags last meeting and the reel that so many of you got behind, Redback Racing has hit the road again. 🚗💨

This time we’ve made the trip down to Portland for a weekend at South Coast Raceway. 🏁

First stop in town is always Portland Strawberries 🍓 before heading out to the track.

The car is unloaded and ready to go. A requirement for this particular meeting is completing a street drive in the race car before a full days racing tomorrow.

We’ll keep you all posted when the engine is rumbling tomorrow! 🤙🏼🕷️

Well well well.
Today didn’t go to plan! 😱⛈️

Not quite the end to our weekend we wanted. Unfortunately the rain came in fast and hard and drowned the truck and all our pit area making us unable to continue, thank you to the track staff and all other competitors for the weekend.

Definitely can’t predict the weather but we hope everyone stays dry and anyone travelling home has a safe trip.

And we’re back and racing!!
Morning to our extended race family!

Yesterday was one of those race days.
Flights delayed, weather causing chaos and Chris stuck at his FIFO job because of the rain… then somehow he jagged a flight out yesterday morning, rushed from work to Adelaide to Mildura and jumped straight in the seat for round 2 qualifying like nothing happened. 💪

Missed the first qualifier, snapped a wheel stud at the start line. But we pushed through got the car fixed and still got the job done. 🏁

Now it’s knockout eliminations day at the Twilight Championship at Mildura Sunset Drag Strip. Top fuel cars are in town and the atmosphere is unreal. Claudia Langley is also out there racing her car this weekend too. We’re pumped to see how she goes 🖤🏁

All in all big day ahead and If you’re not scared of potential rain come down from 3pm and be part of the action.

Update from our Portland trip, unfortunately the meeting got called off after an incident occurred, car ran well for the weekend though so we were happy with that.

6am this morning we headed off to Heathcote for the 2025 Holden Drag Nationals. This is one of our favourite events every year, lst year we came runner up in 2 classes and this year with only 1 driver this time we hope to do 1 better and come away with the win.

In mid February we took the car out to our local track at sunset strip to compete in the twilight nationals, after a good start to qualifying we were going well, going into round one of eliminations we were confident, we took that win however coming down the return road the car was making noises it definitely shouldn’t have been making. Taking it back to the pits to try and work out what the problem was and unfortunately we just couldn’t work it out and didn’t want to risk breaking anything further so on the trailer it went.

Had some time off to fix the issues and then a quick trip to Portland this weekend to compete in their street car challenge and test out the newly fixed motor.

Completing a 60k drive this morning to qualify for the challenge and then hitting the track and running a 6.98 first pass. Feeling good about the repairs and hoping the rest of the weekend goes smoothly.

What a day we had at South Coast raceway yesterday, weather was perfect and the car ran as good as we could have hoped, first pass off the trailer saw us run a nice 7.1, going out again we continued to run 7.1. It ran super consistent over the whole day with a couple of 7.0s thrown in there to, we would like to thank everyone that helped get the car to where it is and appreciate all the help. A huge thank you also goes to our sponsors A/Line trading and Benetook autos Mildura.

Today’s event will bring USA style bracket racing with big bucks on the line, hopefully we might even crack a 6 second pass.

Had a very busy off period where we did quite a few changes to the car. With a brand new motor put in we are off to test it out in South coast raceway in Portland for their door car wars. Friday afternoon will bring us a test and tune and Saturday will see us competing in the Door car wars, USA style bracket racing.

This weekend seen us competing in 2 different classes at the Holden nationals 2024, Chris in Iron Lion and Claudia in the Yeah the girls class.
Saturdays rain unfortunately saw the day scrapped, with an earlier start than scheduled on Sunday saw us getting 3 qualifiers, the car as always ran super consistent, Chris started Eliminations just after lunch and Claudia was running round robin style, with only 3 classes separating us we had a very hectic day getting the car back to the pits changing dial ins and getting back around but we did it, Chris went round after round and finally made it to a final, Claudia running round robin unfortunately lost the first round but was able to win the next two which also put her in a final.

Going into finals Claudia was up first, unfortunately losing the race by .031 and coming runner up
Chris went into his final next and also unfortunately came runner up.

A massive thank you goes out to Todd and the Holden nationals team for a great event, The sunset strip crew for a great track.
