*UPDATED CALENDAR*

A few changes have been made to our calendar as we don’t have control over what happens unfortunately. Disappointing to be missing a HUGE sponsors day with the King Of Wings and Family Fun Day for the 3rd year in a row. Will have to try bag huge points to keep ourselves in the points hunt this year as we could be missing 2 points meetings with the second to be confirmed

Late Model Challenge - 50 Lap A Main

This past weekend, we took on the late model challenge which resulted in a 50 lap a main event.
The track was due up from the get go which made for some very interesting racing throughout the night.

As the heat racing went on, we found still ourselves on the edge of setup chasing. If one thing worked for one round, then it didn’t work for the next which made the night all that more tougher.

By the time the feature started, we were out of P5 (which is where we were for most of the night). Surprisingly got it done quick but not without a few incidents throughout the feature race.
For the second meeting in a row we were involved in a heavy rollover (video in the comments) resulting in damage to the race car but we still managed to bring it home in 3rd place.

WE DID IT!!!

50 gruelling laps for the late model challenge and we were on the back foot in heats but we got there and capped it off with a 3rd place finish.

I don’t know whether it’s the smell of burning rubber at the motorplex or maybe it’s the smell of RACE DAY!!!

we have nominated for the challenge this weekend as the late model is ok to continue after some patch up work. But right now our focus will shift to try and get this wingless done before 5pm and see if we can get it somewhat sorted, we might just be able take it with us to turn some laps (pending if it all goes to plan)
