Commiserations to Applecross Gold. Not your day today but you've given us a couple of footy lessons across this season. Your boys & coaches always bring right spirit to our games & I look forward to our continued battles in 2027.

As maybe the first 5-9 team to be playing youth finals, 'right here, right now' was our theme today. We can't change the past & the only way to effect the future is with our actions 'right here, right now.'

We feel very blessed to be playing our first Grand Final. Here we go! 🧡🩶

Values should always come first.

The behaviour of the boys & girls you help raise will say an awful lot more about you than whether you win a junior premiership.

Was an absolute pleasure to meet Griff yesterday.

A young man who is about to go on a run with a purpose. Griff is going to leg it the almost 4000kms from Perth to Sydney in an attempt to become the youngest person to complete the trek.

But he's running with a greater purpose. Raise both money & attention for the mental health organisation Talk2MeBro

Next month, Griff Knowles is setting out to make history.

He’s taking on the challenge of becoming the youngest person ever to run from Perth to Sydney, all to raise vital funds for Talk2MeBro. We couldn’t be more grateful to have him taking on something this incredible.

This is a massive undertaking, and we need your help. If you or someone you know can support the journey—or if your business wants to get behind an inspiring cause and gain exposure along the way—we’d love to hear from you.

Right now, we’re looking for:

* A motorhome to support the run across Australia.
* Recovery and support partners to help keep Griff moving.

Congratulations to the Western Australia Over 35s Women's Softball team who, today, won the national championships with a convincing win over South Australia.

Chermai Cockman, you should be so proud of everything you've overcome to not only make it there but have the opportunity to pitch your team to victory today.

You're a living, breathing example of consistency & staying the course even when challenges continue to make the path difficult.

Seeing the ignorance that Kate McCarthy has been subjected to has hit a little too close to home for me.

Since my daughter started playing footy, she has regularly had boys her age try to diminish her skills or accomplishments.

While I can recognise that it's simply a defense mechanism for their own insecurity, to a young lady (or even an established athlete & commentator) it can feel like you're being told that you don't belong.

I'm so glad that she's never been subjected to this attitude at her own club. Coaches at Piara Waters Junior Football Club, both male & female, have continually gone out of their way to open doors & opportunities for her to expand her skills.

I'm so glad that she lives in an age where she can see athletes, coaches, TV hosts & commentators who look & sound like her so that her potential is never limited by the narrow imaginations of others.
