GSAS provides a stepping-stone for young, Great Southern athletes into a high-performance pathway by delivering exceptional local training and sport support environment.

🥉 We’re officially Bronze!

We’re proud to share that Albany Swim Club has achieved Bronze Level in Swimming WA’s Club Excellence Program! 🏊‍♀️👏

The program recognises clubs that are building strong foundations to be well-run, sustainable and supportive places for their members, across areas including governance, child safety, coaching, club culture and community engagement.

It might not be the kind of bronze our swimmers usually chase, but this one belongs to the whole club – our committee, coaches, volunteers, swimmers and families.

Thanks to everyone who helped us reach this milestone. And just like swimming, there’s always another goal…

Nawww happy Lifeguard Appreciation Day Albany Leisure and Aquatic Centre. A number of our Albany Swim Club present members and Alumni have gone on to become part of this pivotal group of first responders. Today we salute you! 🫡

🌊 Happy Lifeguard Appreciation Day! 🌊

Our lifeguards are the watchful eyes around the water, helping thousands of people enjoy ALAC safely each year.

From preventing incidents before they happen to responding calmly when someone needs help, lifeguarding takes focus, confidence, teamwork and a genuine commitment to the community.

Today we’re proud to recognise the people behind the yellow shirts. Thank you to our lifeguards for everything you do to keep ALAC safe, welcoming and ready for everyone to enjoy. 💛🖤

A huge THANK YOU to our amazing Albany Swim Club members and parents who rolled up their sleeves today to give our clubrooms a well-earned spruce up. 🧹🪣💙

Our club, like many many others, thrives on the contributions of volunteers. You don’t have to take on a formal committee role either, these micro volunteering efforts show that every little job added up to make a big difference.

Thank you to everyone for today for their effort and willingness to help behind the scenes keeps our club looking its best and makes it an even better place for all of our swimmers.

We appreciate every single one of you. Legends, the lot of you! 👏💙
