2026 Premiers | Blowes Clothing Cup Third Grade🏆

Orange City Rugby Union Club have broken their nine-year title drought, holding on in a hard-hitting, all-Orange decider.

The Lions toughed it out after Emus Rugby Club Ltd pulled a 15-point gap back to just three as the full-time whistle loomed.

But Orange City showed plenty of composure to hold on, winning their first title since 2017 and adding it to their Minor Premiership.

Congratulations to both sides. These local derby deciders always deliver, and today was no different.

GRAND FINAL DAY …

PREMIERS!

Congratulations to our Third Grade side, crowned 2026 Premiers after a hard-fought 15–12 victory over cross-town rivals Orange Emus in hot and windy conditions on No. 1 Oval in Dubbo.

Our Lionesses gave everything in their Grand Final but fell short against a strong Dubbo outfit. While it wasn’t the result they wanted, reaching the decider capped another outstanding season for the group.

Congratulations to both sides on earning their place on Grand Final Day - and to Third Grade on finishing the job and bringing home a premiership.

A huge thank you to everyone who made the trip to Dubbo and got behind Orange City. Your support was certainly heard and appreciated.

Our Women’s First Grade and Men’s Third Grade sides take centre stage this weekend, with both teams playing for the ultimate prize.

One game. One opportunity. One champion.

Make the trip to Dubbo and get behind the Lionesses and Lions as they battle the Dubbo Roolettes and Orange Emus for premiership glory.

Can’t make it to Dubbo? Both Grand Finals will be streamed live on BarTV with a small subscription fee.

Orange City Rugby Union Club has celebrated plenty of firsts in recent years, enjoying a period of incredible Ferguson Cup development 🦁

✅In 2023, it was their first finals berth.
✅ In 2025, their first Grand Final appearance.
✅ This year, they've won their first Minor Premiership.

Could 2026 also be the first time they hoist the Ferguson Cup? They'll need to reverse the Major Semi-Final result, but it'd take a brave person to say they can't.

UP NEXT GF X 2 …

Our women’s First XV and our men’s Third XV will contest their respective grand finals this Saturday.

First off will be our Third grade side who will go to battle against local rivals, the Orange Emus.

Kick off 10:30am

Our Women’s First Grade side will take on reigning premiers, the Dubbo Roolettes.

Kick off 12:00pm

Both games will be played on No.1 Oval, Victoria Park, home ground of the Dubbo Kangaroos.

We wish both sides the best of luck and if you make the trip to cheer them on we’re sure they’d appreciate the cheering from the side line.

If you can’t games will be streamed live on Bar TV.
