We didn’t get the W last week against Elizabeth, but we earned the double chance, so we get to play a home final!! It’s a must win game against Para Hills to stay in the finals hunt 👏

🙌 FINALS FOOTY’S BACK!!
DIV 6 QUALIFYING FINAL - HOUNDS v. EAGLES 🙌

Well, after a bit of a nervous wait in last week’s bye our A Grade finished the minor round in 3rd spot, meaning we’re not only playing finals in the A’s for the first time since 2021, but we’ve also secured a double chance 👏👏

Our Reserves finished the year in 7th so no finals, but plenty to build on for 2027.

We head to Argana Park to take on Elizabeth in the Qualifying Final, with a slightly earlier start time of 2.00 PM.

The weather will be perfect ☀️ so please come along and show your support and cheer on our A Grade as we start our finals campaign! 🏉

🩷🩷 The Mary Potter Foundation - Ladies Day and the Walk for Love 🩷🩷

With the bye this week it’s an opportune time to share some wonderful news on our partnership with The Mary Potter Foundation.

Back in round 7 we held our annual Ladies Day followed by a great turnout on the Sunday for the Walk for Love. And we followed up in round 14 when we played Gaza and each club wore their special Mary Potter Foundation guernseys.

We are thrilled to announce that the fundraising from Ladies Day and the Walk for Love on-line donations saw BOSFC raise a record total of $3,135.00 - simply fantastic!! 🙌

Kristen Hardy, Executive Director of The Mary Potter Foundation was kind enough to write to us and is happy for her letter to be shared with everyone.

🙌WE’RE BACK PLAYING FINALS!!🙌

Well what a way to wrap up our last minor round games last weekend!!
- Wins by both grades for the first time this season ✅ ✅
- Reserves winning 3 of the last 5 games ✅✅✅
- 3 wins in a row to our A Grade ✅✅✅
- A Grade guaranteeing a spot in the finals!! ✅

With the bye this week we await the outcome of the A grade games to see whether we finish 3rd or 4th, but no matter the result we’re back playing finals for the first time since our Reserves in 2022 and our A Grade in 2021👏

As soon as we know who, when and where we’re playing we’ll share the details of our first final.

🙌 LOUI LOPRETE - 100 GAMES 🙌

Milestone # 7 for the 2026 season👏

Loui was a skinny kid when he joined BOSFC in 2018 but quickly made an impact, being named among our Ressies best four times from 13 games in his first season of senior footy.

His impressive start saw Loui step up into our A Grade the following year, where he settled into a defensive role.

Loui’s athleticism and work rate enabled him to play a crucial intercept and rebound role in our defence, with his strong contested marking and deceptive acceleration helping us slingshot from defence into attack.

Building on his strong start to senior footy, Loui became a crucial cog in our game plan before serious injury derailed things and he missed the entirety of the 2022 season through recovery and rehab.

Loui’s dedication and competitive spirit showed in the way he applied himself to returning to footy bigger and better, and in
2023 he became the ultimate swing man - playing key back and forward roles, before locking down a key forward position in 2024.

Almost impossible for opposition to match up on, Loui’s strong marking, quick thinking, and strength at ground level saw him kick multiple goals per game that year and in 2025.

This season, as well as being a leadership group member, Loui has shown he can do it all, dominating as a big-bodied midfielder and delivering inside 50s from strong centre bounce and stoppage work, while also continuing to averaging more than 2 goals a game himself.

This week, Loui’s ongoing rise was recognised with his inclusion (along with team mates Matt Brincat, Angus Ralph and Joseph Haskey) in The Advertiser’s Top 40 Adelaide Footy League players of Divisions 6 & 7.

Loui is a much-loved member of the BOSFC family, with his easy going, friendly character off the field, as much a part of his charm as his competitive beast nature on the field.

🙌 ROUND 1️⃣7️⃣ - HOUNDS V. LIONS 🙌

It’s our last minor round games of the season, with the bye to come in round 18, and it couldn’t be more crucial as we head south to face O’Sullivan Beach Lonsdale.

Our Reserves want to finish with a win, especially after a close loss back in round 8. And, after last week’s impressive win by our A grade to move in to 3rd spot on the ladder, we have a real chance to lock in a spot in the finals!🏉

Plus we have our seventh player milestone for 2026, with Loui Loprete notching up 100 games for BOSFC - congratulations Loui!👏
