Hunter Rugby Official and authorised page for Hunter Rugby Union Inc. (NHRU) This is the authorised page for Newcastle & Hunter Rugby Union Inc (NHRU).

The NHRU is responsible for fostering, promoting and control rugby in its area – this includes establishing and maintaining rules, regulations and directions to govern its rugby competitions and the conduct of players, officials and members of clubs and affiliated bodies. There are three associations responsible for rugby union in the Newcastle & Hunter regions:
• The senior men’s and women's com

petitions are administered by Hunter Rugby and currently comprises of 19 clubs in 2 Divisions (www.hunterrugby.com.au)
• The juniors competition is administered by Hunter Junior Rugby Union (www.hunterjuniorrugby.com.au) with competitions from U7s through to U18s. We ask that all participants of this page use social Media appropriately. By all means share your positive experiences of Rugby but do not use Social Media as a means to breach any of the expectations and requirements of you as a Participant of Rugby as per Rugby AU's Code of Conduct. Hunter Rugby reserve the right to ban any individual found in breach of the Code of Conduct.

In the lead up to Japan v Ireland at McDonald Jones Stadium, Hunter Rugby and Rugby Unity are bringing a live podcast luncheon to NEX.

Ewen McKenzie and David Pembroke take the stage, joined by special guests across the afternoon, all hosted by local legend Pat Howard.

An afternoon of stories, insights and honest rugby conversation.

All Suburban matches will go ahead as scheduled
