Congratulations to Kevvy () on an outstanding runner-up finish at the New Zealand Pro today. 🇳🇿🏄‍♂️
Morgs went down in a nail-biting final to Brazil’s Ítalo Ferreira, with the judges favouring the aerial attack over Morgs’ powerful rail-to-rail surfing.
Cibilic looked in control midway through the heat after posting excellent scores of 7.00 and 8.80, but Ferreira answered with a 9.33 on his fifth wave to reclaim the lead, earning big numbers for a couple of barely-above-the-lip air reverses.
“I'm just so grateful to be here. It's been a beautiful experience,” Cibilic said.
“The past two weeks have been epic. It’s such a good country and so much to do and see here, so even when there were no waves, it was epic to hang out and explore and look around and just stay present.
"It felt like it was easy to do that with so much to do. It was like just an epic experience, and we're blessed with great waves today and an epic Final.
"It's always hard to compete against Italo when he's in that kind of mode, and he's flying through the sky.
"I've put in so much work over the past couple of years and just really wanted to get back here. I guess this proves to myself that like I'm back.
"I'm going to try to stay here and hopefully put up a few more good performances this year. I’m over the moon.”
The result sees Morgs climb 13 spots on the Championship Tour rankings ahead of the Surf City El Salvador Pro at Punta Roca in early June. 🌊

has stormed into the final of the Corona Cero New Zealand Pro after taking down American, Griffin Colapinto, in the semi-finals.
Cibilic posted a two wave total of 15.34 (7.67 + 7.67) to Colapinto' 12.20 (7.37 + 5.83).
He will now get a crack at winning his first ever CT event when he takes on either Yago Dora or Italo Ferreira.
It's the second time the rider has made a CT final, having lost the final of the RIp Curl Pro at Rottnest Island in 2021 to Gabriel Medina.

The Cross Keys Hotel in Tighes Hill has absolutely nailed the modern pub experience.
From the moment you walk in, it just feels right. A comfortable, light-filled space with a perfect mix of cosy booths, low seating, and bar stools that keep the place buzzing without ever feeling crowded. The teal, gold and neutral colour palette pops, but it’s the main bar artwork that really gets people talking.
Then there’s the beer.
With 24 taps pouring everything from top-tier craft to every man’s lager, the selection is first class. Add in an extensive wine list (bigger than the Grain Store), and you’re covered no matter your taste. The Paxton Quandong Farm Shiraz 2022 is a standout.
The food more than holds its own, too. The menu is huge, with proper pub classics done right. The steaks are a highlight: mouth-watering, succulent, and full of flavour. While the schnitzels are enormous, the bangers and smash hit the comfort food sweet spot. And yes, the famous Grain Store chicken wings are here and still elite.
A nice touch is the built-in Scrabble and chess boards scattered through the bar. Perfect for settling in and staying a while.
Out the back, the atrium-style space brings proper beer garden vibes and is ideal for groups, giving the whole venue another layer.
What really ties it all together is the service, it’s sharp, friendly and consistent.
Simple verdict: hard to fault, easy to love. One of the best pub setups going around right now.
