🏎️💨 MICRO-SCALE MADNESS HEADLINES A FULL HOUSE AT LAP ADDICT RC! 🏎️💨 What a massive night of racing on 3 September 2026!
The pits were packed to absolute capacity for a true "full house" event. We had 13 drivers delivering some of the closest, high-octane action we’ve seen all season as the 1/24 Micro-Scale Buggies completely took over the track! 🏁🏁
Micro-Scale, Mega Battle!
The energy in the building was electric, especially with the surprise return of Staffo to the grid! Armed with his Customz Microbe (featuring a motor plate mod, servo arm mod, and his favourite Spektrum radio), he stacked the field and kept the racing tighter than ever. By the end of the night, the consensus was unanimous: "Need to race you guys again!" 🙌🛠️
Show & Tell Spectacular
While the 1/24 buggies were tearing up the lap times, the pits featured some serious eye candy for the vintage RC purists:Shanye Goldsbrough brought down a stunning Kyosho Lazer ZX, complete with a beautiful Pargu alloy chassis and plenty of Rubrix Racing Products. 🤩David Johnson treated the crowd to an iconic, original KYOSHO CORPORATION 京商株式会社 Hanging on Rider bike circa 1992! 🏍️Both legendary models were massive crowd-pleasers and added the perfect nostalgic backdrop to the evening.
🏆 Survival of the Fittest: The Triple Main With a packed field and relentless micro-track conditions, just staying on four wheels was a massive achievement. Despite the chaos, heavy traffic, and intense pressure, the drivers dug deep to survive the grueling format and successfully finish the ultimate test—the Triple Main! 💥
Our local racer Top Gun set out with one goal: to battle track rival Nigel Nogood (who dominated last week with his overall Win). Lesson learnt years ago from the rebuild king Gavin Webb —saw me going all out on chassis maintenance - lubed all bearings, checked steering and suspension binding, and tried one more thing.... a little side-wall CA glue on the front wheels to reduce traction roll—the car was running like absolute magic!
✨Heat 1: Top Gun locked in a 36-lap run to punch a ticket straight to the A-Main.
A1 Main: With Staffo fighting servo saver issues, Top Gun secured a rare win with a Personal Best 37-lap run!
A2 Main: Track GOAT Darren Pryor bumped up and took the win with a blistering 42-lap pace!
⏱️A3 Main: A fierce battle between Top Gun and Staffo came down to the wire. ESC programming issues sent Staffo's car into the "Never Never Land" (where the marshals just couldn't reach) in the last 30 seconds of the race😅, allowing Top Gun to capitalise on the misfortune, secure 2nd in the leg, and take Overall 2nd Place for the night—a career-highest micro-track finish! 🎉🏁
Main Event Highlights:
A-Main Final: 🥇 Darren Pryor (from a bump-up!), 🥈 Top Gun, 🥉 Staffo.
C3 Main: Toot wrenched on his car all night, eventually switching to another vehicle to take a beautiful win over Drew! He will have a talk with his mechanic....🔧 😅
D2 Main: Jesper put on a driving clinic ("Destroyed by the Destroyer") to take a brilliant win over Jay.
B2 Main: A spectacular teammate showdown between Drew and Harry, with Drew taking the top spot by a razor-thin margin of just 0.18 seconds! 🤯
C2 Main: Jason Ferguson dominated with a near-perfect run after some pit-table track tuning. The damper oil adjustments Nathan and Benji NPB RC Racing worked on paid off massively. It is awesome to see this Father and Son team progressing and having so much fun! 👨👦❤️
You really have to be there to experience the exhilarating atmosphere of RC racing. It’s truly the people that make this track so awesome! - see Jay's smile at the pit and you will understand 😃
