History really is right under your feet ✨

This is Naughtons Gap Station, captured in 1940.

A quiet stop along a line that once connected communities, stories and journeys across the Northern Rivers 🚂

Today, the same corridor welcomes walkers, runners, riders, horse riders and dog walkers. Not better or worse, just changed.

A gentle reminder that places evolve, but their stories stay with us. As the trail grows, so does the chance to carry those stories forward and keep that spirit of connection alive.

Big new shiny things are coming to one of the best stops on the Northern Rivers Rail Trail. 🌿

Naughtons Gap Hill is getting a glow up with more shade, more seating, and a few thoughtful extras to make your stop even better. Think additional bike racks, twice as much seating, fresh water, and a dog bowl ready to go. 🚴‍♀️🐶💧

Work kicks off mid-June and is forecasted to wrap up by the end of the month, with the trail staying open while upgrades roll out. You might notice signage or short delays along the way. (Nothing worth changing plans over).

A small pause now for a much better stop soon. 👀

Whether it's showing up for good karma or community connection, you're invited to the Naughtons Gap Landcare working bee this Saturday 13 June. 🌿

This month the focus is on w**d control and revegetation, with a long-term vision to support shade and create habitat corridors along the trail. 🌱🌳

It is a meaningful cause and a fun morning spent alongside people who care deeply about the landscape. 🤝
