📣 FULL-TIME RESULTS 📣
A mixed afternoon for United, with plenty of positives to take from both performances.
🔷 RESERVES 0–1 BLUE EAGLES 🔶
A frustrating result for our Reserves, who dominated possession and created the majority of the chances throughout the game. Unfortunately, we couldn’t find the back of the net when it mattered, and a lack of finishing ultimately cost us the points.
🔷 FIRST TEAM 5–4 BLUE EAGLES 🔶
Our First Team showed incredible grit, determination and team spirit to come away with all three points.
The lads came flying out, racing into a 2–0 lead inside the opening 10 minutes thanks to a brace from Dylan August & Manny Slattery. A lapse in concentration allowed Eagles back into the contest, but the boys responded brilliantly to regain control and went into the break 3–2 ahead.
The second half made us work for it, with the boys making life difficult for themselves at times. But when it mattered most, they dug deep, battled until the final whistle with Toby Christensen getting on the scoresheet again & Dipa with the final goal to seal the win!
A massive effort from everyone involved and a huge 5–4 victory! 💪🔥
