05/01/2017

Just wanted to let all my supporters know that this Friday night at Adelaide Motorsport Park will be the last for our team.
We have ridden the roller coaster of emotions this sport delivers for over ten years and the time seems right to move onto other things.
We have had so much support over the years from the fans and fellow competitors and I am really going to miss that the most.
It has been awesome to meet and race against so many people from all corners of Australia and I treasure the bond this has created.
When I started this journey I remember saying to my Dad that it would be awesome to win just one race. Well we managed that and a bit more and finish my racing career extremely satisfied with what we have achieved as a Team.
Our Team has consisted over the whole journey of Myself, my dad (Alan) and my awesome partner Sue. Sue has been so supportive of me while I lived my lifelong dream of racing speedway and my dad has been the driving force, getting us the results we achieved with his countless hours in the shed. I couldn't have done it without both of these wonderful people in my life.
I also wish to thank so many other people who have helped me along the way. The list is so long but I really want to thank Peter Lowe, Bill Miller, Mark Lincoln, Michael Miller, Wayne Vickers, Mick Lewis, Scott Hoskins and Ryan Alexander.
Thanks once again to everyone who has helped me live my dream.
See you all at the Speedway.

We are currently burning the candle at both ends trying to have our car ready for boxing night at Adelaide Motorsport Park.
We have a motor half built and hope to have it installed in the Panther chassis in time for Santa to run it in for us on Christmas Eve.
All going well we will be raring to go.
We would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a very merry Christmas and fingers crossed we will see you boxing night.

We had a run at Adelaide Motorsport Park last night in the Vickers Motorsport SA77.
Heat one we drew the pole and managed to lead from start to finish.
Heat two had us coming out of position 10 and we managed to work our way to third in a race that only ran 6 laps due to some over zealous driving from some fellow competitors that couldn't get used to the slick conditions.
We started the Final from 3 and had a ball battling for the lead. Unfortunately after a little unnecessary contact, I overdrove a little trying to make up lost ground. As the final was cut to 10 laps, this left no time to try and catch the leaders and left the S77 in third place.
Congratulations to all the drivers in the final, which ran non stop on a very slick track.
A huge thanks to Wayne, Julie, Hayden and Caitlyn Vickers for allowing me to steer their rocket ship.
Also thanks to all of their sponsors,
Eagle Campers and Trailers
Shadetec
Highside Clothing.
We will be having another run in their car this week at Murray Bridge, Hope to see you there.

Sorry for the late update, We ran at Murray Bridge last Saturday night and came away scratching our heads a fair bit.
We went out for heat one but ended up just track packing for 15 minutes or so and were then, thankfully due to a major misfire, returned to the pits to refuel. We quickly changed a distributor and made it out for our second attempt at heat one. Starting from position 2 we managed to win the start and lead all the way to the chequers. Thanks to Michael Qualmann for the loan of his Distributor.
Although still not happy with the way the engine was performing, we were a little tight on time to rectify the issue before heat 2.
We started from 8 in this heat and worked through to 3rd before we made a bit of a clown of ourselves and ended up spinning. we managed to keep going but a 5th place finish was the result.
We qualified from 2 for the final but when the green flag dropped to say go the car decided to say no and we ended up on the infield for only our 2nd mechanical failure in 3 seasons.
After some investigation we found a faulty fuel pump to be the culprit.
Congratulations to Jason Robinson on his feature win.
We are going to have a run on Friday 21/10/16 at Adelaide Motorsport Park to make sure we have sorted the issues.
Hope to see you there.

Pits are full, looking forward to a great night.

All loaded and ready to head to Murray Bridge for our first run of the season. Should be a great night with awesome weather and a great field of cars.
If you have nothing on it is only a quick trip up the freeway and I am sure you won't be disappointed.

With the season fast approaching we would like to welcome back Shane Langford Transport as a corporate partner for the 2016-2017 season. Shane got onboard with our team at the start of last season and we are excited to have him with us again.

We have just been to our end of season AMCA SA presentation night and came home quite surprised. We missed seven of the local rounds but still managed to place 4th in the overall SA State points.
On top of that we finished 3rd in the City point score and 4th in the Murray Bridge Track Championship. If we could add the points that Mark got when he ran the car in SA we would of taken out both of these awards.
We also received the best presented car at Murray Bridges presentation night.
All in all we are very happy with the outcome of what was quite a frustrating season and look forward to doing it all again next year.
Once again thank you to all of our supporters, whether you be a race fan or a corporate partner we love sharing our passion for our sport with you.
We are now less than 90 days from the start of next season so its time to get busy in the shed.

As mentioned earlier we have reached the end of our season. It has been a bit of a roller coaster ride this year but we still believe it has been reasonably successful. As most of you are aware Steve had a couple of health issues which limited his time in the car but we were ecstatic when 3 time Australian champion Mark Lincoln agreed to drive our hotrod. All up we finished on the podium 10 times from 15 starts with only 1 DNF. In these podiums we had 4 wins between the 2 drivers which included Mark defending his SA Title and also winning the Ballarat track Championship.
We have also just picked up an award at Murray Bridge speedway for the best presented car which was an honour to win and were informed we had run 4th in their track championship despite missing 2 rounds.
I would like to thank Mark and his guys for the effort they have put in this season. I think they put as much work into our car for 5 shows as most would of put in over a whole season.
To my Partner Sue and my Dad Alan thanks so very much for your love and support that lets me do what I do.
To our sponsors Shane Langford Transport, Blair Athol Auto Parts, Control Automation Concepts, DP Designs, Miller Installations, Krikke, Kouda Signs, Crane Cams and GYB Motorsports all I can say is thankyou for your support. It means the world to us.
We now begin getting organised for next season, what that entails is yet to be decided. We will keep everyone posted as news comes to hand.
Thanks to everyone who has followed our page and hope to have you with us again.
For now, enjoy life and remember to live your dreams.

We are preparing for our last race of the season this weekend at Sunline Speedway Waikerie.
Steve will jump back in the seat and is hoping he can keep the car up the pointy end.
We would like to thank Mark Lincoln for the effort he has put into our little team over the last few months, it has certainly shown us what is required to reach the level he has maintained over his racing career.
If your free this weekend why not head up the river and spend an entertaining night at the skids.
