“If you can be anything in this world, be a kind person.” 🤍
It feels like the perfect time to reintroduce myself, especially with so many new families and faces joining our Ripples community.
I’m Jenaya, the owner and founder of Ripples Swim School. I’m a wife, a mum to two beautiful boys, a swim teacher and a small-business owner who cares deeply…sometimes probably a little too deeply!
Ripples was created from my passion for helping children feel safe, confident, capable and supported in the water. I wanted to create a space where every child is met where they are, where their individual needs are understood and where they are given the time and encouragement they need to succeed.
I also wanted Ripples to be more than somewhere children simply come for a weekly swimming lesson. I wanted to create something meaningful for our community, a place where families feel welcomed and supported, where water safety education is accessible, and where children can develop skills that may one day save their lives.
Behind this business is also a human being with a whole life outside of it. A family who needs me, animals to care for, a home to run, health to look after and all the ordinary, messy parts of life happening behind the scenes.
Running a small business has taught me that you never truly know what someone may be carrying. We’re all human, we’re all doing our best, and a little kindness can make more of a difference than we realise.
So, if you’re new here, welcome! I’m so glad you’ve found us. And if you’ve been here from the beginning, thank you for continuing to be part of our story.
If we can be anything in this world, let’s be kind. Always. 🤍
