There’s a lot of work that goes on behind the scenes to make sport happen in our community. 🏉❤️

City Country Club feels incredibly blessed to have young athletes who are willing to put their hands up, get involved and help provide the best possible playing experience for everyone.

It’s not just about playing sport — it was about taking pride in our facilities and giving back to the community.

✅ Sprinklers replaced
✅ Divots filled in
✅ Clubhouse cleaned

These are the moments that matter. Teaching our young people that being part of a club is about more than what happens on the field — it’s about teamwork, responsibility, leadership and looking after something that belongs to the whole community.

What a great night of footy, fun, fitness and friendships! 🏉🙌

Engaging our youth and seeing the positive impact of nights like last night makes all the hard work behind the scenes so rewarding.

A huge shout-out to our U16 Boys, who arrived early to help set up and then stayed involved throughout the night, supporting and assisting our younger players while helping them learn and understand the game.

Seeing our older players stepping up, giving back and becoming positive role models for the next generation is exactly what community sport is all about. 💪

Strong youth build strong communities.

Friday Night Footy is back — and we’re only getting started! 🏉❤️

Six years ago, our club set out on a journey — to bring our community back to the footy and show our youth that their town was behind them. 🏉❤️

Back then, there were barely any spectators at our local games. Our kids only really experienced big crowds when they travelled away to carnivals.

Then something special happened.

An amazing group of volunteers, absolutely bleeding passion and enthusiasm, helped change all of that. Our Friday Night Footy literally came to life, and at its peak we hundreds of locals coming through the gates to cheer on and support our players.

The atmosphere was incredible, but more importantly, our youth knew their community was behind them.

Now we’re starting that journey again.

🏉 Friday Night Footy kicks off TOMORROW NIGHT — 14th August
📍 Rugby Park — the best venue in town!

Come down, bring the family and get behind our kids.

And make sure you stick around for the later games. There is some absolutely amazing rugby talent right here in our own backyard, and these young players deserve a crowd behind them.
