Hi Everyone, my apologies I have been quiet with updates for D11.
We are desperately trying to find one or two more members to join the committee. If you would love to see barrel racing return to Mt Isa and surrounding areas through NBHA D11 please reach out and shoot me a message to discuss options. This is a well represented club with great support however we do need people to step up into committee roles to get it moving.

Good Morning everyone!

Please keep April 7th at 6:30pm free – I’ll be sharing a link here soon (most likely Monday as I’ll be away at events from tomorrow).
This is an exciting opportunity for our NBHA D11 Barrel Racing community! If you’d love to see D11 back up and running, now is the time to come together and make it happen.
We need passionate people to step into roles and help drive the club forward. With the strong horse community I know across the Cloncurry/Mt Isa region, there is so much potential to build something really special again. The support is there, we just need the team to bring it to life!
Whether you’re in Cloncurry, Mt Isa, Normanton, or surrounding areas, you can absolutely be part of this. Events can be shared across locations, making it inclusive and exciting for everyone involved.
Jump into the meeting at 6.30pm 07 April, bring your ideas, and be part of rebuilding something amazing for D11!

A message from Kirsty Doyle NBHA Australia President.

NBHA Australia is reaching out to our D11 members with an exciting opportunity to bring District 11 back to life and build something special together. Rather than seeing it remain dormant for another year, we’d love to work with you to re-establish and grow a vibrant, active club. If there is interest in seeing D11 up and running again, we would be happy to hold an online meeting to chat about ideas, explore possibilities, and make it easier for more people to be involved and attend. This would be a great chance to have your say and help shape the future of D11. To move forward, we would be looking for a few passionate members to step into key roles, particularly President and Treasurer. If you’ve ever thought about getting more involved, now is the perfect time! Don’t worry though, NBHA Australia will fully support and guide where at all needed. It is far less daunting than it sounds, and incredibly rewarding to be part of something that brings people together. Clubs thrive because of their members, and with a little teamwork, we can create an exciting and welcoming club for everyone to attend and have fun. If you’re interested or would like to learn more, we’d love to hear from you! Due to the weather, this weekend’s races have been moved to Saturday.

If the races are able to go ahead, the NBHA AGM will now be held at 10:00am as we need to work at the races.

📣 NBHA D11 – AGM NOTICE 📣

NBHA D11 will be holding its Annual General Meeting on:

🗓 Saturday 28th February
⏰ 12:00pm
📍 Overlander – Outside Dining Area

This AGM is essential for the continuation of NBHA D11.
All executive positions are open and must be filled in order for the association to operate.

🏇 Executive positions to be filled:
• Director
• Secretary
• Treasurer

🐴 Additional positions available (not required to run, but vital support roles):

(These roles may be held in conjunction with an executive position)
• Animal Welfare Officer
• Sponsorship Coordinator
• Social Media Coordinator

If these positions are not filled, NBHA D11 will be unable to run. We strongly encourage members to attend and consider nominating for a role to help support and grow our district.

Your involvement matters — we hope to see you there.

Please note to be able to vote you must be a member of NBHA Australia. After speaking with NBHA President in regards to this she has advised that we can become associate members for $25 and if we are successful in forming a committee members can email NBHA Australia and sort out full membership by paying the remaining amount.

𝗡𝗕𝗛𝗔 𝗗𝟭𝟭 𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘

We would like to advise members that the NBHA D11 AGM is currently pending, we were awaiting Tamaras return from holidays and after reading a post during the week it was understood by me that NBHA Australia were calling for board nomiations and had limited nominations. They need to fill them as we wouldnt be able to run if they could not form a board. It was my mistake on that post as they now have enough nominations and their AGM is today. Please head over to NBHA Australia and find the link to join their AGM.

Regarding NBHA D11 Committee
It is also important to note that we require a full and active committee to move forward. At this time, Tamara and I are unable to commit to committee roles due to other existing commitments and while we loved running NBHA D11 last year we stood still as we couldnt form a committee. We understand that people are busy and have full timjobs as we are much the same, many hands make light work.

To allow time for nominations to come through we need to give 14 days notice for an AGM. If everyone has any suggesions for a date and place please let us know and we will arrange from there.

🛢️𝘼𝙂𝙈 𝙐𝙋𝘿𝘼𝙏𝙀🛢️

Thank you to all who joined us on Saturday to discuss the clubs outcome for 2025.

It was decided that the current committee will stay formed throughout 2025 and the idea put forward to run Non-Point Jackpots throughout the year where POSSIBLE. All present agreed.

A vote was called to change the NBHA D11 bank account due to the current suncorp account proving extremely difficult in many ways such as, transaction history’s, clearly identified payments and bank operating hours in store. This vote was passed and a new account will be open after finding a bank to suit our needs. Details will be update and shared once the new account is opened.

A AGM will be run in November TBA to set the club up for 2026.
