When we organise a fundraiser at the studio, I'm not thinking about how much we'll raise.
I'm thinking about the moment a child realises they can use their love of dance to help someone else.
I'm thinking about the conversations that happen when they ask, 'who are we dancing for?' and 'why does this matter?'
I'm thinking about the pride on their faces when they step on stage knowing their performance means something beyond themselves.
Because here's what really happens when children give back through dance:
They learn that their gifts have purpose. That joy can be shared. That they're part of something bigger than themselves.
They develop empathy, not because we told them to care, but because they experienced what it feels like to contribute.
They build confidence that isn't just about nailing a routine. It's about knowing they can make a difference.
And they create memories that stay with them long after the music stops.
The money we raise matters, absolutely. But the compassion we nurture? That transforms lives.
That's the kind of humans we're raising at Encore. 💗
Like this if you believe dance can build more than just dancers.
