Meg Dunley

Meg Dunley Meg is a creativity and writing coach, and writer and editor. I live in Naarm (Melbourne) with my husband, two of my three adult sons.
(1)

She helps writers write through 1-on-1 and group coaching, writing workshops, retreats and editing. I am a coach, writer, editor, facilitator of writing workshops and retreats, and communications specialist. I love encouraging others and seeing them shine, hanging out with other writers, reading stories of all kinds, drawing and taking time out in nature. Creatively, I love to play with words, art

, knitting and crochet and have even taken improvisation classes as life needs play. Time out is hopping in the old Landcruiser and taking the tent to find a place where the dirt is red, the sky is wide and all I can hear are the birds and the trees.

This week's guest on the Creative Momentum with Meg podcast is Lauren Novak. Lauren is a journalist and an author and when she had small children, she felt mum rage, something that is not often spoken about. Her curiosity about it led her to writing a book that may help other mums. I know when my kids were little, I wish there'd been a book to help me through that rather than feeling like I'd failed because I felt rage.
In our chat we talk about why curiosity can be more important than English skills for writers, where she gets her inspiration from, whether her journalist skills have helped or hindered, how she makes time for her writing and more.
You can listen to it wherever you like listening to podcasts or jump over to my Substack (link in bio) to read/listen/watch.

So, only two books read this month. You can read about my thoughts on them over on my Substack.
