It was a busy afternoon with racers getting their last Heffron in before State Champs next week. The wind was its usual Heffron standard however was a tail on the straight.

Thank you to our volunteers who make racing possible and was nice to hear one of the vollies say, how many racers thanked him...

Divs 4 and 5 set off first with 5 splitting very early. Alan Sumner, our favourite 90 year old racer was there giving it his all.. its so great to see him week to week. Welcome to Div 4 Constant - great breakaway that lasted the whole race. Div 4 - was a sprint finish and the bunch did not split with no breakaways.

Div 3 split fairly early and large bunch going up the road and the second bunch finishing up in a sprint finish.

Handicap Div 1 & 2 and one of our racers was so excited to get started, there may have been a stumble on the start line! No photographic evidence though 😂

The servo as we know it. The ever popular Sunday waterfall ride. A sea of merlot today. Great to see most people in their club kit.

Believe it or not, cyclists are inherently social creatures .. drawn to ride side by side and talk about … watts, nutrition, strength training, recovery methods, future training goals, races, latest tech, cycling podcasts, and of course the excuses as to why you may not be riding your best today. United by a singular common mindset.
