This week's meat raffle will be dedicated to supporting Kurtis Collazo from our Bronze Team, who suffered a major injury during Saturday's game.

100% of proceeds raised will go directly towards helping Kurtis and his recovery.

Join us on Sunday 23 August 2026 at Blackmore Oval, Leichhardt for a fantastic day of junior rugby league as we honour one of the game's greats with the inaugural Robbie Farah Challenge.

MELEE ESCALATION POLICY.

What is a melee?

A melee is any on-field altercation, push-and-shove, or fight between players.

As a player what do I need to do?

If an incident of foul play happens on the field, DO NOT become involved, walk away and retreat from the area. Allow the Match Officials to deal with the issue at hand.

As coaching staff what do we need to do?

Stay OFF the field, allow Match Officials to deal with the situation. Under NO circumstances should you go onto the field to remove players, pull players off others.

As parents or spectators what do we need to do?

STAY OFF THE FIELD. Allow the Match Officials deal with the situation in ALL circumstances.

As a Club what do we need to do?

Educate your players and coaching staff on the Melee Policy.

The 2026 Westpac Blues Tag Representative Gala Day will take place on Saturday, 26 September and will be held at St Mary's Leagues Stadium.

The event will feature both an Open Womenโ€™s competition and an Under 16s girl's competition.

This is a friendly reminder that team registrations will be closing Monday 27 August.

EOI - Players and Coaching Staff

Open Women's players must have turned 16 & Under 16s players must be aged 13 and over.

STAFF REQUIRED
- Coaches - must have 16-18, 19+ Coaching accreditation, League Tag Module, Patrons of the Game Module and a current valid Working With Children Check
- Manager - must have completed the Patrons of the Game Module and a current valid Working With Children Check
- LeagueSafe Trainer - must have completed the LeagueSafe & Patrons of the Game Module and a current valid Working With Children Check
- Level 1 or 2 Sports Trainer - must have a current Level 1 or 2 Sports Trainer accreditation including current C.P.R. accreditation, Patrons of the Game Module and a current valid Working With Children Check

Everyone deserves someone who believes in them, encourages them, and helps them discover what theyโ€™re capable of. A few words of confidence, a high five after a tough game, or believing in a player when they donโ€™t yet believe in themselves can make a lifelong difference.

At Leichhardt Wanderers, our coaches do so much more than teach rugby league. They create friendships, build confidence, develop resilience, and inspire the next generation, both on and off the field.
