Ever thought about taking your rugby game to the bottom of the pool? The UNSW Whales are looking for new players to join our pod! Whether you're a seasoned pro or have never worn a pair of fins in your life, there’s a spot in the water for you. Our beginners sessions are designed for you to get to know the game in a non intimidating environment.

​Our team is all about inclusivity. We pride ourselves on welcoming space for everyone to get active, meet a fabulous community and play one of the most unique sports in the world.

No experience needed but we do need you to be comfortable swimming in a pool. Just bring your swimmers and we can provide the rest 💦

What a night at the 2025 UNSW Sports Awards Gala Dinner! Our Underwater Rugby club was proud to celebrate with the UNSW sporting community.

​A massive congratulations to our dedicated club member, Adam Inchley, who was honoured with the prestigious Doug Crawford Award! Coach Nick Coumbis was on hand to accept the award.

​The team had a fantastic time mingling and celebrating UNSW Sport in the Grand Ballroom at the Australian Turf Club. We are so proud to be part of this community!
