Launceston BMX Club Launceston BMX Club is a family friendly club who love our BMX ! We are a club who is run totally by volunteers.

Launceston BMX Club is the home for one of three clubs currently operating in Tasmania, Located at the St Leonards Athletics Center. We train every Tuesday night (weather permitting) and hold race meets regularly. All Riders must have current AusCycling Off-Road License and the appropriate protective clothing must be worn at all times. Launceston BMX Club is excited to invite you to a FREE Come & Try Day! 🎉

Who can join in?
👶➡️🧒 Anyone 2 years or older! Bring your enthusiasm and curiosity – we'll take care of the rest.
Hosted at the Launceston BMX Track, St Leonards, you’ll have the chance to ride the track and experience BMX Racing in a safe and friendly environment. 💛 No experience required – our coach, officials and volunteers will be there to guide you and your child.
🕒 Sessions:
• 12:30pm – 1:30pm
🧒 For balance bikes and younger riders (2–6 years)
• 1:30pm – 3:00pm
🚵 For riders with basic bike experience, ages 5–50+
⚠️ Please note:
All riders must wear:
• Long sleeves
• Long pants
• Fully enclosed shoes
• Full-face helmet
• Full fingered Gloves
Please bring your own bike 🚲.
The club does have some helmets, bikes, and gloves available to borrow (or purchase). Message us on Facebook if you need gear. 💬

We have inspected the track and the consistent heavy rain has left the ground very wet.

After the huge amount of effort our volunteers put in recently resurfacing the track, we need to take precaution where possible to protect it.

We’ll continue to monitor over the coming days in hopes it dries out enough to run pop-up gates.

We apologise for the late update and appreciate your understanding.
