It's our final week of our Cars and Trucks theme at junior GymKids and we are so excited. We've been learning about self regulation through practicing our Stop & Go's and we've been working on developing our gymnastics shapes through sensory activities in class. So get your vroom vroom & beep beep happening and see what its all about!

💛🖤❤️ YOUNG, BLACK & PROUD! ❤️🖤💛

A very special congratulations to Delta gymnast Zhariyah Akiba, who was recently named a recipient of the 2026 Young, Black and Proud Scholarship in the Sports Category!

This scholarship celebrates young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who demonstrate outstanding achievement, commitment and potential.

A proud descendant of the Thabu people of Saibai Island and the Yidinji people of Far North Queensland, Zhariyah relocated to Brisbane in 2023 to pursue her gymnastics dreams with Delta.

More than a scholarship, this recognition opens doors and provides opportunities for Zhariyah to share her story, celebrate her culture and inspire the next generation of young athletes.

We're incredibly proud to see Zhariyah recognised for both her achievements and the remarkable young person she is becoming.

Congratulations, Zhariyah! 💙💛

NATIONAL PATHWAYS CAMP SELECTIONS!

Following their outstanding performances at the 2026 Australian Gymnastics Championships and the recent National Clubs Carnival, we're thrilled to congratulate five Delta athletes on their selection to the Gymnastics Australia WAG National Pathways December Camp at the AIS!

Selection to these highly competitive camps recognises both performance and potential, reflecting the dedication, resilience and commitment these athletes demonstrate every day in the gym.

A huge congratulations also goes to their coaches, Kara McLoughlin and Lauren Norton, whose expertise, passion and commitment to athlete development continue to create opportunities for our gymnasts at the highest levels of the sport.

Behind every selection are countless hours of thoughtful planning, technical development, encouragement and belief. This recognition is a wonderful reflection of the environment you continue to build, where athletes are challenged to achieve their potential while developing the confidence and resilience to succeed well beyond gymnastics.

Congratulations to all! We can't wait to see these athletes embrace another fantastic opportunity to learn, grow and represent Delta. 💙💛

Learning to fly takes courage. But courage doesn’t come from being pushed before you’re ready.

At Delta, we live by the value: ‘If you don’t leap, you will never know what it’s like to fly.’

For us, that means helping every child feel safe, comfortable, and confident — so when they’re ready to leap, they go for it.

And we know it looks different for everyone. A small jump for one child is a huge leap for another. That’s why we challenge children at their level, not ours.

Build them up. Don’t scare them off.
