Raiden came out on a WildCast Adventures trip with two goals in mind: to see what live sonar on a Garmin setup really looks like, and to tangle with a PB cod. Safe to say, we ticked both boxes for this session. Raiden was hooked, so much so that another morning trip is already locked in πŸ€™.

This cracking PB for Raiden, going 108cm, fell to the triple-jointed lure, well done mate!

Paedan Monaghan booked a 3-hour trip for his birthday with one goal in mind, spending some quality time on the water with his son and hopefully tangling with a few Murray cod.

While we couldn't quite get Paedan connected to one on this occasion, his son made the most of his chance when a solid cod ate the and took off straight into a snag. After wrapping the line around a log, things were looking a little dicey, but with a bit of teamwork and persistence, I was able to free the fish from the timber.

From there, his son did a fantastic job staying calm and finishing the fight, eventually bringing this beautiful Murray cod to the net. 🎣🐟Watching a young angler land a quality cod and sharing the experience together on Paedan's birthday made for a pretty special day on the water.

Thanks for choosing to spend your birthday with WildCast Adventures, and hopefully next time it's Paedan's turn to hold up some cod for the camera πŸ€™

With the Mildura Weir currently out of action, at WildCast Adventures we’re continually exploring new sections of the river and adapting to make sure clients still get the best possible experience while on a tour.

A recent 4-hour session on the water produced two cracking Murray cod in the 90s as well as a smaller model. We also had some agonisingly close encounters with some bigger fish following flies right back to the boat… but that’s all part of the fun of scoping trophy fish 😍

A quick update on bookings:
β€’ June is fully booked
β€’ July currently has just 5 spots remaining
β€’ August bookings are now open

One for me this time Braeden Lampard ! 🎣🐟

This beast couldn't resist the trusty , and as you can see, it was the stinger hook that did all the hard work and held strong throughout the fight πŸ‘Œ

The hours spent on the water are certainly paying off, and it's hard not to appreciate moments like these when everything comes together.

Looking forward to seeing what the rest of the season has in store, but if it's anything like it's been so far, there should be plenty more stories to tell 😍

Clay and his son made the trip over from South Australia for a 3-hour session focused on learning more about their Garmin electronics and chasing a few trophy fish along the way.

I decided to check out a new spot, and it didn't take long before his son hooked into this beautiful Murray cod on a Spinwright lure! 🎣To make the moment even better, it was a PB for him, which was awesome to see. There's nothing better than watching young anglers achieve a personal milestone on the water.

Thanks for making the trip over and booking the trip. πŸ‘

Steve was on board recently when his mate landed a metre plus Murray cod, and after witnessing the action firsthand, he couldn't wait to have a crack himself and booked a private tour.

It didn't take long! this cracking Murray cod was on the front deck after absolutely smashing a Spinwright Elite Fluffball.

What makes it even better is that Steve was visiting Mildura and got to experience exactly what makes this region so special, early morning sunrises over the Murray River, incredible river scenery, and the chance to connect with one of Australia's most iconic freshwater fish.

🎣πŸ”₯ booked a 3-hour morning session chasing some Murray cod action, and the river delivered!

It was a jam packed morning with plenty of cod, great conversations, and an unforgettable experience on the water. The highlight of the session was this incredible 115cm+ wild Murray cod that Shiva was absolutely stoked to land on the Elite fluffball! πŸ‘

If you've been thinking about booking a tour, now's the time.

πŸ“… June now has 2 spots for booking (PM me before they are taken) and July dates are filling fast. Get in quick to secure your spot and give yourself a chance to get in on the action!

Meet Chris.

Chris moved to Australia from South Africa in 2019 and has been chasing the dream of catching a Murray cod ever since. He booked a trip with us to finally tick it off the bucket list, and it didn’t take long 😍.

Just 20 minutes into the session, we'd already had two quality fish follow right back to the boat, then the third one absolutely inhaled the fly.

What followed was the ride he'd been waiting for.

A dream Murray cod, an unforgettable fight, and one very happy angler. This is what it's all about, getting PB's and catching 113's πŸ€™

Sometimes the best trips come together at the last minute 😁

A call from the Riverdream Boatel owners here in Mildura had me squeezing in a 3-hour morning cod session for a couple of holidaymakers from Darwin, NT determined to tick Murray cod off their bucket list.

We picked them up straight from their houseboat and were casting within minutes, with several opportunities at big cod slipping through our fingers. But with about 40 minutes left in the session, persistence finally paid off and we landed a well earned Murray cod.

While it wasn't the metery, it was close enough to leave the crew smiling and eager for more. Before we even got back to the boat, they were asking if I had another spare session available. A few days later, thanks to Marika juggling the family schedule, we made it happen. This time I picked them up from a completely different stretch of river as they continued their houseboat adventure.

The decision paid off.

Halfway through the 3 hour session, one of the boys connected to the fish they'd been dreaming about. After an epic battle, their first metre plus Murray cod hit the net and stretched the brag mat to 108cm! An unforgettable capture and a true bucket list fish.

As if that wasn't enough, on the way home they confessed they'd gone shopping the night before and purchased an Garmin 8416 and LVS34 after seeing my electronics setup in action 😍.

Thanks again boys, for the great company and enthusiasm. It's always rewarding helping people achieve their Murray cod goals and creating memories that will last a lifetime. 🎣🐟
