🔥 HERO WOD: ARNIE 🔥
Today’s hero workout was Arnie… and wow, this one was a little different. 😅
What makes Arnie so tough isn’t just that it’s hard work, it’s the type of movements in it.
You’ve got those grippy kettlebell swings that also get the heart rate up fast and light up those legs & lungs… Then overhead squats, which demand a mix of strength, mobility, and concentration when you’re already feeling tired.
And then there’s the one that really makes people think… the Turkish get-up.
If you’ve never done one before, imagine holding a weight locked out overhead while moving from lying on the floor… all the way to standing… then back down again- with control the whole time. Sounds simple until you try it 😅
It takes balance, coordination, shoulder strength, core control, and a lot of focus, especially once the fatigue kicks in.
It’s not just about pushing hard, it’s about moving well, staying focused, and keeping your composure when the fatigue really sets in.
Our athletes put themselves out there to learn something new and they absolutely smashed it! Different paces, different strategies, same effort across and intensity.
