Valley & Rivers Showjumping are proud to offer another fantastic clinic for those wanting to progress along their Officials Pathway in Showjumping.
Introducing our Judges Clinic presenter for 30–31 May: Jan Golding
Jan’s lifelong connection to horses began at just ten years old in Pony Club, surrounded by some of Australia’s strongest horse people — names like George Sanna and John McMillan. From Eventing to Jumping to Dressage, her early years shaped a deep understanding of our sport that she still carries today. Alongside a career as a primary school principal, Jan bred Australian Stock Horses, managed a busy farm and family business, and juggled a team of around 30 horses. Over time, her passion shifted toward officiating, driven by a desire to give back to the sport she loves.
Today, Jan is an FEI Level 3 Jumping Judge and FEI Level 3 Steward, bringing decades of experience from both the warm‑up arena and the judge’s box
We’re incredibly fortunate to have Jan leading our clinic — her knowledge, perspective and genuine love of the sport make her an exceptional educator.
•This two day course will cover:
•The current EA/FEI rules
•Your pathway to becoming an accredited Showjumping Judge
•How to refresh or update your current accreditation
•Guidance for those wishing to progress to the next level
Opportunities like this are rare in rural areas, and we’re thrilled to make this level of education accessible on the North Coast. Whether you’re aiming to become an official, wanting to update your skills, or even a rider keen to better understand the rules, this clinic is a valuable chance to grow your knowledge.
Don’t miss this wonderful opportunity to learn, upskill, and support the future of our sport.
