💙 Do It For Dolly – June Showjumping Weekend Wrap‑Up

A beautiful weekend of riding, community, and Dolly blue

What a fantastic weekend of showjumping we’ve just had for our Do It For Dolly event, rescheduled into June. The rain kindly stayed away during the days, giving us perfect weather and a great atmosphere for riders, helpers, and spectators.

We saw lovely jumping across all rings, with riders producing some really polished rounds. The sea of blue shirts, ribbons, and touches of Dolly blue looked beautiful and was a heartfelt tribute to the cause.

A huge thank you to our team and supporters:

• Grind And Wine Wine – our new coffee vendor – Thanks for stepping in and keeping everyone fuelled.
• Karen & Heather for judging and pencilling with their usual calm professionalism.
• Shannon for marshalling an impressive 100 rounds on Saturday morning.
• Lauren for capturing the day with her great photos.Make sure you contact her so you get your great memories from her LahWulf Photography
• And to the wonderful people who step in to pick up a rail, help with course changes, or lend a hand wherever it’s needed — your quiet contributions keep the day running smoothly and are truly appreciated.

Our next event is on 4 & 5 July, with entries opening in the next couple of days. We can’t wait to welcome everyone back.

A huge weekend of growth and learning with the amazing Jan Golding.
Our group of 12 officials worked through everything from starting out at Preliminary to stepping up toward National Level 2 accreditation. Such a committed and enthusiastic crew.

Thank you to Vines at 139 for the beautiful catering all weekend, and to Jumping NSW for supporting our region and helping us continue to build strong, knowledgeable officials on the North Coast.

Valley & Rivers Showjumping are proud to offer another fantastic clinic for those wanting to progress along their Officials Pathway in Showjumping.

Introducing our Judges Clinic presenter for 30–31 May: Jan Golding

Jan’s lifelong connection to horses began at just ten years old in Pony Club, surrounded by some of Australia’s strongest horse people — names like George Sanna and John McMillan. From Eventing to Jumping to Dressage, her early years shaped a deep understanding of our sport that she still carries today. Alongside a career as a primary school principal, Jan bred Australian Stock Horses, managed a busy farm and family business, and juggled a team of around 30 horses. Over time, her passion shifted toward officiating, driven by a desire to give back to the sport she loves.

Today, Jan is an FEI Level 3 Jumping Judge and FEI Level 3 Steward, bringing decades of experience from both the warm‑up arena and the judge’s box

We’re incredibly fortunate to have Jan leading our clinic — her knowledge, perspective and genuine love of the sport make her an exceptional educator.

•This two day course will cover:

•The current EA/FEI rules

•Your pathway to becoming an accredited Showjumping Judge

•How to refresh or update your current accreditation

•Guidance for those wishing to progress to the next level

Opportunities like this are rare in rural areas, and we’re thrilled to make this level of education accessible on the North Coast. Whether you’re aiming to become an official, wanting to update your skills, or even a rider keen to better understand the rules, this clinic is a valuable chance to grow your knowledge.

Don’t miss this wonderful opportunity to learn, upskill, and support the future of our sport.
