Strath Lions KNOCKOUT Cup remains strong!

Congratulations to our U11, U13 and U15 teams today winning their knockout cup rounds and progressing to next weekends challenge!

If anyone is missing their Sunday Soccer next week - be sure to keep an eye out for the game times and head down to cheer on our teams!

Our U17 kick off Friday night against Olympic it what is set to be a very close game!

To the dads on the sidelines, rain, hail or shine,
The grandads who cheer us on every time.
To the caregivers, stepdads and father figures too,
Today we say a big thank you to you.

For tying the boots and finding lost socks,
For early game mornings and watching the clocks.
For driving to training and kicking a ball,
For cheering the loudest — win, lose or draw.

For words of encouragement when things don’t go right,
For teaching our players to never give up the fight.
To play with respect, with courage and pride,
And to always support their teammates beside.

You’re part of the village behind every team,

Roarsome: Another great year for junior soccer participation

Geraldton Christian College students have enjoyed a fantastic season in the local junior soccer competition, with many students representing clubs and teams across Geraldton.

A large number play for the Strath Lions, a club with which GCC has a strong and positive partnership.

The club is proud to have GCC as primary sponsor of the Strath Lions, which also makes use of the College’s facilities for training throughout the season.

This year has been particularly successful, with both the Strath Lions U15 and U17 teams finishing the season in first place.

This success reflects the commitment of players and coaches, as well as the strong relationship between the College and club.

Both organisations emphasise Christian values, character development, respect, service, teamwork and integrity, helping students grow both on and off the field.

The club also acknowledges and thanks its other valued sponsors — ABBL Contracting, Sparkeze Auto Electrical and Ultratune Geraldton — for their ongoing support of our players within community sport.

🦁⚽ SLFC U13s – Growing Together! ⚽🦁

A big shout-out to our U13s and their coach Caleb, who has stepped up from our U17 team to take on the coaching role this season. It’s fantastic to see one of our older players giving back to the club, sharing his knowledge and helping guide the next generation of Lions. 💙💚

Our U13s continue to grow in confidence, develop their skills and enjoy their football together. We’re proud of the effort they bring each week and grateful to Caleb for his commitment to the team.

⚽🎉 GJSA WIND-UP – SUNDAY 6 SEPTEMBER! 🎉⚽

It’s time to celebrate another fantastic junior soccer season! 💙

Sunday 6 September will be the final day for our U7s, U9s and U10s, and we’ll be finishing the season with a little something for our junior players.

🏅 Medals for all U7, U9, U10 & U11 teams
🧃 Juice box for every player
🍟 Packet of chips for every player

Coaches to bring their teams up to the club house at La Fiamma after their game to collect the medals, chips and drinks.

Our U11's, U13's, U15's and U17's will continue with their knock-out cup competition. Final games for U11's, U13's and U15's to be played on 20 Sept.

A big thank you to all our players, coaches, volunteers, families and clubs for another wonderful season of junior soccer.

🦁⚽ Celebrating our SLFC U9s! ⚽🦁

What a fantastic couple of weeks for our U9 team! 💚

After showing plenty of resilience, determination and teamwork throughout the season, the team celebrated their first win last week — and then backed it up with another great win again this week! 🙌

We’re incredibly proud of the way these young Lions continue to learn, support each other and keep giving their best every time they take the field.
