💜🏉 PLAY IN PURPLE – THIS WEEKEND 🏉💜

💜This weekend, the Carlingford Cougars are proud to join the Ryde-Eastwood Hawks, Ryde-Eastwood Leagues Club, and clubs across our district in supporting the Australian Pancreatic Cancer Foundation (PanKind) through the Play in Purple initiative.

💜Throughout the weekend of 1st & 2nd August, our players will be wearing purple socks to help raise awareness of pancreatic cancer and support vital research into one of Australia's toughest cancers.

💜Pancreatic cancer has one of the lowest survival rates of all major cancers, making awareness, research and fundraising more important than ever.

💜As a community club, we are proud to stand together for a cause that impacts so many Australian families.

💜 PLEASE HELP US MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

If you're coming down to Sir Thomas Mitchell Reserve (STM) this weekend, please bring along your loose change.

We'll have collection boxes around the ground, so if you're able to, please dig deep and throw a couple of dollars into the collection box. Every donation, no matter how small, helps fund vital research and support for those affected by pancreatic cancer.

When you see our teams wearing purple this weekend, remember they're playing for something bigger than the game.

🚫 Spectator abuse has no place in community sport.

No child should have to experience that.

Our young referees volunteer their time so that hundreds of players can enjoy the game we all love. Mistakes are part of learning—for players, coaches and referees.

When you see green socks, remember:
🟢 They are under 18.
🟢 They deserve patience.
🟢 They deserve respect.

Let's be remembered for encouraging our young officials—not intimidating them.

💙❤️🐾 The U15 Girls Tackle team continue to give 100% every single week! 🐾❤️💙

Each week this group gets stronger, more confident, and continues to build belief in one another. The improvement in their teamwork, resilience, and commitment is fantastic to see.

Success doesn't happen overnight. It comes from turning up to training, working hard, supporting your teammates, and trusting the process.

Keep showing up. Keep putting in the hard work. Keep believing in yourselves and each other.

The results will come, but more importantly, you're building something special together.

🐾💙❤️ The Cougars' youngest TAG team gave it their all on Sunday! ❤️💙🐾

These girls never stopped trying, never gave up, and most importantly, loved every minute of playing footy with their mates.

It was fantastic to see them take the next step and tackle the challenge of playing on the bigger field. Their enthusiasm, determination, and smiles were a credit to themselves and the club.

A huge congratulations to our coaches and support staff for the work they've put in preparing the girls for this transition. Your commitment and encouragement are helping build confidence, skills, and a lifelong love of the game.
