Enjoy great food, cold drinks, family-friendly facilities, air-conditioned comfort and open-air viewing. Greyhound racing is a sport that features dogs chasing an artificial rabbit round a track until they reach a finish line. The dog that makes it to the finish line first wins the race. Greyhound racing is still an amateur sport in most countries and the race events are just for entertainment purposes. However, in some countries like the United States, Ireland, New Zealand, Australia and the U.K., the sport is a favorite for punters even though it is not in the same league as horse racing. A strong greyhound adoption movement in Australia and other countries that have strong greyhound racing industry help to rehabilitate retiring dogs by placing them into homes as pets.

🏁🐾 2026 PREMIERSHIP STANDINGS UPDATE 🐾🏁

The points keep ticking over and the Premiership battles are heating up at Winnellie Park — and with racing back again this Tuesday night, there are more valuable points up for grabs! 👀

🏆 Trainer of the Year
Steele Bolton continues to set the pace on 120, with Ronnie Phillips on 56, Adam Poulter 48, Rob Brown 44 and Alicia Shepard moving into the top five on 20.

🏠 Owner of the Year
Adam Poulter leads the way on 42, followed by Dale Baker on 32 and Ol Brown Dogs close behind on 31. Phill Brittain sits on 26, with Dale Kelly on 24.

🔥 Greyhound of the Year
Brittain On Fire continues to hold the lead on 234, but Brave Ember is closing in on 202! Stan’s Dream remains right in the hunt on 190, followed by Zero Control on 178 and Zelda Chaos on 144.

Tuesday night racing is back at Winnellie Park and we’ve got a big 10-race card ready to roll!

The lids fly for Race 1 at 6:55pm, with racing right through until 9:50pm. There’s plenty of speed across the 312m and 383m, plus a cracking 537m contest in Race 4.

And apparently we haven’t seen enough pineapple lately… Extra Pineapple is back in Race 6. 🍍😂 Surely that’s a sign to check this week’s kitchen specials!

Meet Blue 🤍
A big softie who just loves family living.

Blue is a true gentleman who would truly thrive in a family home. While he was racing, he lived in a household with three children (including one baby) and would soak up the love from them all. He can also be a bit of a guard dog, he knows his home and he has a nice big bark to let you know when people are near.

Blue also gets along well with other greyhounds male and female, although he is untested with small dogs and not safe for rehoming with cats.
