Southern Districts Crocs are your 2026 DXC B Grade Champions! 🏆🐊

Southern Districts produced a dominant performance with the ball, dismissing Palmerston for 114 to defend their total of 263 and secure the premiership.

Vir Chib’s 92 (149) and Jack Page’s 54* (46) set up the victory with the bat, before Page added two wickets and Matthew St Clair claimed four.

Kai Snape was the standout for Palmerston, finishing with five wickets.

Students didn’t just watch world-class cricket — they also had unique behind-the-scenes opportunities, including interviewing international players and teams. 🎤

We’re celebrating our Women & Girls Social Smash participants and their incredible opportunity to take the field during the first Test Match in Darwin in 22 years at TIO Stadium!

During the lunch break, 18 women and girls took to the field to show off their skills, have fun and showcase how much fun cricket can be when you mix it up with modified equipment, rules and formats.

Fitting timing during Women & Girls Week as we recognise one of the many women making a real difference in our clubs.

Congratulations to Sarah Fowler from Palmerston Cricket Club, named June’s AANT Volunteer of the Month.

Published a little later than planned as we continue our monthly recognition of the people who contribute so much to community cricket.

As Palmerston’s Women’s Coordinator, Sarah has helped drive the growth of women’s cricket at the club.

"I’m incredibly proud of how far women’s cricket has come at Palmerston. We have created a place where women and girls of all ages and abilities feel welcome, supported and like they belong. Seeing our junior girls come through into senior cricket, and this year being able to field two women’s teams for the first time, has been really special."

This Women & Girls Week, we’re looking back on a special moment for women’s cricket in the Territory.

In May, the NT Women’s Strike returned to the field after more than eight years, bringing together cricketers from across the Territory to take on the Afghan Refugee Women’s XI.

What followed was more than a three-game series. Through cricket, the players shared culture, formed friendships and created a strong sense of connection and belonging.

It showed the power of sport to bring women together and create opportunities to play, connect and belong. 🏏

Big things are happening for women and girls’ cricket in Alice Springs!

This year, we’ve introduced two new programs helping girls build confidence, develop skills and take the next step in their cricket journey.

From Girls-Only Colour Smash to the Women & Girls Development Program, there are more opportunities to play, develop and grow through cricket.
