Heard this week that eBayAU are implementing some changes to auctions which are supposed to provide benefit for both buyers & sellers - more or less the theory being to find a more true/fair market final price for items.

Despite being on the platform for years, have never even ran an auction for anything football related, so figured let’s pick a piece and test it out 🤗

After a few weeks patiently waiting, sooo stoked to have our first PSA graded vintage Panini arrive 🥹🥹

Upon hearing news that the great man Baresi was no longer with us, in tribute I wanted to find something iconic already encapsulated via grading which ticked as many boxes as possible without completely destroying the bank (bearing in mind all the good stuff is overseas - so currency conversions, shipping, taxes etc to deal with).

Settled on this 1990 FIFA World Cup sticker ( #46), which represents a very strong era for both the Azzurri and more or less the career peak period for Baresi himself. Italy achieved a 3rd place finish at Italia ‘90 which included 5 clean sheets, and conceding only 2 goals for the entire tournament. Baresi was named in the official FIFA WC All Star Team ⭐️

The sticker itself is a PSA 6. According to the population count which I have included a pic of only 20 of this exact item have ever been graded, with only 14 higher. So essentially this is a 1/15 in all of human history. No graded 10’s exist at all.

This will be for sale at some stage, with the goal being purely to help fund either a higher PSA grade of this exact same piece if can find it, or another historically significant Baresi graded piece with a low population count (maybe a rookie or much older AC Milan sticker/card).

Honestly no clue why people continue to break box after box spending hundreds/thousands at a time, or gamble crazy cash on live streams chasing hits. We’re making budget friendly, yet hard to find & sought after cards of all types available to save collectors the fuss, the time and money - vintage, modern, parallels of all kinds, autos, patches, numbereds, graded etc etc.

Soon slowly coming back around to kits too and will be dedicating a 50/50 time split to each discipline.
