The Colac Pony Club was saddened to hear of the passing of one of our Life Members last week.

Philip Cobbledick was a name synonymous with Pony Club, serving as both President and District Commissioner for Colac. Philip was also Barwon Zone representative, and served for a number of years on the Pony Club Victoria State Council. Philip attained Life Memberships with both the Barwon Zone and State Council, only retiring as State President in 2017.

Philip is remembered by many as someone who was proud of Pony Club, and always ensured honesty and integrity. Fiercely loyal, and committed. We are certain that he was proud to see the State Horse Trials at Colac, and to see it so successful; writing from hospital, his apologies for not being able to call by and see it in person.

To Dianne, and Philip's children and grandchildren, we send our sincere condolences.

Vale Mr Philip Cobbledick.

🌟 Official Opening 🌟

This one is probably our worst-kept secrets 🤭, but giving the boys their time in the lime light was so important to us.

Nathan and Damo from premiumgrouppainting are new sponsors this season, but boy-oh-boy have they have made an incredible impact on our club.

A relationship that has grown from a shed clean out (we responded to a free paint post on facebook 😎!), has become something pivotal for our club. So many people have commented, messaged, posted or verbalised how incredible the grounds looked for the Illoura Downs Pony Club Victoria State Horse Trials Championships, and one of the main reasons for this is that we had access to paint, stain and the equipment necessary to undertake a serious painting program. One of our members, Belinda, painstakingly repainted the majority of our showjumping poles. Many of us put in probably hundreds of hours to paint a large number of cross country fences. Another member, Carolyn and her family, repainted the dressage arena. None of this would have been possible without the support of the boys, because the reality is, paint is super expensive 💲!

So, yesterday at our in-house horse trials (May rally), we officially opened the Grade 5 Premium Group Painting Paint Brush (its a paint tin, roller and brush), and our Premium Group Painting Show Jump, bith displaying the PGP colours with pride. These are a symbol of deep appreciation for the support of Premium Group Painting, and an indication that we're both in it for the long run.

From all of us at Colac Pony Club, thank you Premium Group Painting. There are no words for how grateful we are.
For all your painting needs be sure to reach out to the boys for a quote, and give back to these amazing local blokes (check out the work they're doing on the historic Central Arcade, because it looks amazing, and their level of detail in next-level!).

This amazing video is only possible thanks to KJ from KW Creative. If you're needing some marketing material for your business, a reel with your horse, or any other videography done, reach out to KJ. He is incredibly talented, and we're excited to see what the future brings for his work 🤩🤩

🌟🙏 Grant Thankyou 🙏🌟

Just prior to the Illoura Downs Pony Club Victoria State Horse Trial Championships, our wonderful Grants Officer Lauren made a submission to the Meriba Service Club of Colac.

We were incredibly lucky to have been successful, and we are so grateful to the Meriba Service Club.

This grant allowed us to purchase grand stand
seating from Aluminium Seating Specialists. This is something we have wanted for a very long time, and the timing was perfect! It was so well utilised on Saturday at the Equissage VIC Darcie Showjumping ring, and Sunday at the Hutton Build - Sheds, Garages & Carports Water Complex.

Thank you for your support Meriba Service Club of Colac.
