⚾ Please Help Support One of Our Own ⚾

Most people around the Braves will know Milvo, and many will have shared plenty of laughs, stories and good times with him over the years.

He’s a Life Member, the longest-standing President, a multi-premiership player, and he played over 280 games for our club, but more importantly, he’s been a huge part of the Braves family for a very long time.

Milvo and his family are going through an incredibly tough time right now, and a GoFundMe has been set up to try to help support them through it.

We’d love to see the Braves community, past and present, get behind Milvo, Sheree, Ella, Jordy and the family however they can.

If you’re in a position to donate, even a small amount will help. And if you can’t, sharing the fundraiser around would mean just as much.

Milvo has given plenty to our club and our community over the years. Now it’s our chance to give a little back.

⚾ WE'RE ON THE HUNT FOR A HEAD COACH ⚾

The Braves are beginning the search for our next head coach to lead our senior baseball program.

We’re looking for someone who wants to do more than simply coach a team on game day.

This is an opportunity to help shape the future direction of the Braves. Develop our players, strengthening the pathway between our junior and senior programs, and help establish a strong baseball identity across the club.

We want to continue building our club around:

🔴 Strong club culture
⚫ Player development
🔴 Team-first baseball
⚫ Accountability and consistent standards
🔴 Baseball knowledge and development
⚫ Enjoyment, engagement and long-term success!

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with our senior coaching group, Junior Coordinator and Club Committee to help drive the direction of baseball at the Braves.

Previous coaching experience is highly regarded, and playing experience is valued but both are not essential.

At this stage, we’d simply love to hear from anyone who thinks this opportunity may be of interest or if you know somebody we should reach out to!

💥 WHAT A NIGHT! 🎉

Our first-ever Braves Barefoot Bowls Night was a huge success, with seven teams taking part in a fantastic evening filled with laughs, and plenty of banter!

A massive congratulations to 'The Balcombes', who were crowned our inaugural champions after defeating 'We’ve Got Big Bowls', in the Grand Final! 🏆

The hotly contested Wooden Spoon Final was taken out by 'I Think I’m With Mooka As Far As I Know', who defeated 'KAME Saw Conquered' 🥄

Thank you to everyone who came along, joined in and helped make the night such an enjoyable family social event. It was great to see everyone enjoying the competition, some more seriously than others! 👀

We would also like to sincerely thank Birregurra Bowls Club for generously loaning us the bowls. The night would not have been possible without your support.

After such a great first event, we may just have to do it all again!

🎉 100 GAMES FOR TWO BRAVES! 🎉

A huge congratulations to Blake Selth and Tom Fraser on reaching 100 games played for the Braves.

Between them, they have both:
✅ Played 100 games
✅ Received the Paul Davis Award for Best Clubman
✅ Become a premiership player
✅ Served on the Braves Committee
✅ Won Batting Averages

And that only begins to scratch the surface of what they have given to our club.

Their commitment, sportsmanship, leadership and willingness to help both on and off the field have made them extremely valued members of our Braves family.

Congrats on a fantastic milestone, and thank you both for everything you have done!

Here's to 100 more! ⚾

This Saturday we have division one at home and division three has the bye.

Division 1 vs Werribee Giants Baseball Club, game starts at 2:25pm

Followed by “Braves barefoot bowls” in the new shed. Come along for a fun night!
