***STOP PRESS*** VICTORIAN AC COUNTRY REGIONALS TEAMS EVENT PERPETUAL TROPHY CORRECTION

Ballarat has recently issued a correction to the teams hoop scores - the outcome is now there are two teams sharing total hoops - being Geelong and Goulburn Valley SO it was a tight contest to the end - well done GEELONG 🥳🎉

Congratulations To all who participated in the AC Vic. Regionals at Ballarat over the past two days!
It was certainly down to the wire as to which region would be the overall victors! It was a close competition.
Geelong Association was runner up to by only a small margin!
Congrats to the winners and Colac Mallet Sports Club Inc is exceptionally proud of our Kerry obtaining a silver medal in the level 2 section.
Congratulations !
And thanks to Lisa who supported South West Association and to Ruth who was a referee at this event.

Extreme Croquet trial out! At Colac Mallet Sports Club today.
Hilarious ! Ball hidden in grass clumps and cracks, bouncing astray and lots more surprises on the rough surface on disused tennis courts near the croquet lawns. “Extreme Croquet “ can become a serious competition/ so look out for an event near you in the future. Maybe- Colac could become the capital of “extreme croquet” in West Victoria’.

Lots of fun and food and friendly games today - at Colac’s Social GC day today.

We love hosting croquet members from the clubs throughout the Geelong Croquet Association. Today was no exception!

I’m sure everyone had a good day even though weather was a bit fickle (drizzle and sunshine on and off).
Thank you to all the visitors and locals who made the day so much fun.

Big thank you to Colac members who helped set up, cater BBQ lunch and afternoon tea and manage the day.

Some players even tried our mini “Extreme Croquet “ course we set up on the rough not mowed tennis court beside croquet lawns. - with hilarious outcomes!

As a result - We might sort another day with “extreme” games. Look out next season!

Colac’s Anthony Smith has had another successful day at Warrnambool Golf Croquet Tournaments
Congratulations on wins in doubles GC sections on 24/03/26 and single GC sections on 25/03/26.
Looks like effort and practice has done him well.

Thanks Warrnambool CC for your excellent hosting and it was great to see that many players from other Geelong Croquet Association participated and were successful too.

Last Thursday morning presented an ideal opportunity to enjoy Golf Croquet or Association Croquet, despite some challenges. We welcomed new members and potential recruits to our courts, fostering camaraderie and skill development.
Although we have some lawn maintenance issues, including a malfunctioning line marker and the club mower, posing difficulties, solutions are being implemented.
Meanwhile, members soldier on, relishing each other's company.
Social events, such as our Christmas Lunch at the Colac Golf Club, Sausage Sizzle Tuesday evenings starting up again, Take- Away Parma lunch beween games and our monthly meeting- have been well-attended.
A Kris Kringle is planned for next Thursday after a few morning games. After this Thursday, we pause club competitions until January 3rd but during tbe pause, members can attend for self arranged games.
We are still planning to hold our GCA social AC day in January. ( See GCA fixtures). Flyers being sent out in the next day or two.
We wish all members, friends, and croquet enthusiasts a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
