Colac Mallet Sports Cub Inc (Colac Croquet Club) congratulates the three members of our club (Ruth, Kerry and Lisa) who attended the Swan Hill Winter AC Tournament this weekend.
We also congratulate Janelle from the Belmont Croquet club in our region who did well in the Division 4 level at this tournament!

It was a warm, friendly long morning tea in the clubroom on 4th June 2026.
- celebrating our successes in 2025-26 croquet season at Colac Mallet Sports Club in.

All the hoops that were scored on our regular games days were tallied up.
Net winners for the most hoops made over the season were awarded novelty prizes.

Congratulations to winners - lots of games played

Association Croquet: Kerry Cullen 377 hoops

Golf Croquet: Lindsay McGrath 1218 hoops

Ricochet: Co winners Gwen Bray and Lorraine Boyd 17 hoops ( only one official game played )

We also congratulate Susan Lucas for being our inaugural Golf Croquet Champion. ( played on a club competition day in April).

Good to see our new players doing well.
Good to see the members interacting in friendly games and conversations!

We are all winners for being part of a fun loving, skills sharing croquet community.

New Hoops and flags!
Thanks to a small grant from Acciona - Mt Gellibrand Wind Farm -
We can now set up quad-way hoops on all lawns when we set up 4 B sized lawns!
That enables more players out at one time!
Wonderfull!

Tomorrow will be almost like Christmas for the croquet club members of Colac - as we unpack two big parcels that arrived this week!
New Samples of the PFC croquet mallets ( metal ones) have arrived and will be delivered to the club on Saturday 30 May - and ready for members to try out.! (Thanks to PFC Hoopmakers)
The new set of quadway hoops and lawn flags have also arrived ( thanks to a grant from Acciona). These will also be delivered to the club by Saturday 30 May.
Saturday 30th will be final day for the season scoresheets. Our presentation awards will be Thursday 4th June during the morning tea break.
We keep playing over winter - but don’t record scores. We encourage members and potential members to keep coming on a Thursday or Saturday morning or Tuesday afternoon for practice and coaching and or try different versions of croquet.

Members of our croquet club are thrilled to be playing in their new uniforms, courtesy of a grant from Sports Victoria, and are pictured here smiling in the sun. The fresh club shirts have added to the enjoyment of the game for players at Colac. We appreciate the support from Sports Victoria. Hopefully, the good spirits and sportsmanship will prevail regardless of the weather.
