The Colac Kookas Junior RepReady Basketball Sessions are designed to give every athlete an opportunity to put in some work before Colac Kookas Junior Representative tryouts begin.

Sessions will include both parent information and on-court training sessions.

Whether you’re stepping into representative basketball for the first time or preparing for another season, these sessions are designed to help athletes feel prepared, confident, and ready to compete.

As part of the Colac Kookas Junior Representative pathway, sessions will focus on skill development, game-ready drills, and high-energy coaching to help players sharpen their game before tryouts. Athletes will build confidence, improve their basketball IQ, and give themselves the best chance to perform at their best when it matters most. Don’t miss the opportunity to put in the work now and stand out later.

This program is suited to domestic U12, U14, U16 and U18 players who haven’t previously been part of the representative program and are interested in trying out for rep basketball this season.

Early bird registrations for the U12 Country Skills Days are now open!

The 2026 Country Skills Days will be held on Saturday 25th July and Sunday 26th July at 10 regional academies across Victoria.

These Skill Day events are part of a development program for players of all abilities and standards from all associations located in regional Victoria. This will be an opportunity for identified athletes to be selected to participate in the U12 Country Jamboree in Echuca in September!

Acknowledgement – Colac Otway Shire Council, Community Grants

Colac Basketball would like to sincerely acknowledge and thank the Colac Otway Shire for its support through the Community Grants Program.

With funding provided through this grant, a roller blind was supplied and installed on the roller door at the stadium. During the summer months, the roller door is opened to improve airflow and ventilation throughout the venue. The new blind allows us to maintain these ventilation benefits while maintaining a secure barrier, creating a more comfortable environment for players, officials, volunteers, and spectators.

We greatly appreciate the Colac Otway Shire's ongoing commitment to supporting community sport and enhancing local facilities for the benefit of our members and the wider community.

Expressions of Interest are invited for the positions of Head Coaches for the following Colac Basketball Junior Representative Programs:
• 2026/27 – Division One - Colac Kookas Junior Boys Coaches - U12, U14, U16 and U18
• 2026/27 – Division One - Colac Kookas Junior Girls Coaches - U12, U14, U16 and U18

All applicants are advised that the minimum coaching accreditation required for Division One positions is Basketball Victoria’s Club Level accreditation.
