So we are 2 weeks into our fist league and I wanted to share some stats with you.

1. We have had 21 players join the league, this is FANTASTIC
2. 14 players have played 2 rounds and 2 of these players have played 3 rounds.
3. There have been no birdies on hole 5 and 18
4. There has been only 1 birdie on holes 1, 2 & 6, and hole 14 has only been birdied twice, by the same player.
5. The hole with the highest scores on it, no surprise, everyone's favorite, hole 4

Some of you may have noticed when you log in for your 2nd/3rd rounds the handicap is not added, not sure the app understood how we wanted it setup, or as it was our first time, it was set up incorrectly. So I have got a spread sheet with all the results, with handicap calculated for each extra round after your first round.

I will post the round updates at the end of June and July to give players a chance to get some rounds in, if you have questions or want to know your own results before this, send me a message.

I am also hoping to have some prizes at the end of the league, so stay tuned for this.

So I played my first league round this morning, it was a bit windy. But on my way back to the carpark this is the sight I saw on the first tee. Some of the Melbourne Disc Golf Club members came along for a throw including Alistar, Bridget and Wayne who made the trip down to play in the league. Great to have you guys supporting our course and our first league event.

So our first ever league has kicked off and its great to see we have already had 8 players play their first round in the first 3 days. This is already a fantastic result.

I am looking forward to getting my own first round done on the weekend.

Mathison Handicap League 1

Starting on the 1st of June we are running a handicap league. This will run for 2 months, players can play anytime they choose and players play 6 rounds in the 2 month period.

How it should work.

We will be using UDisc for the scoring, players select the event and check in, then you just register yourself as playing. Only 1 person needs to score if you have a group playing, but you will need to register each person.

After your 1st round, the app should work out a handicap for the 2nd round and then it adjusts after each round. In theory, if you shot a 80 and the par we are using is 60, this means your next round your handicap will be -20 from your score. If you shot a 55 your handicap will be +5 for the next round.

Since UDisc only lets a multi day event be 30 days long, there are 2 identical events listed, one for June, the other July, you can play your rounds anytime.

Below you will find the QR code for June that will take you straight to the event in UDisc.

I have also put up a flyer at hole 1 with both QR codes on it to make it easier for all players.

On the leaderboard there will be a scratch section but we will only use the handicap section for results.

UDisc can be a little tricky and not always user friendly, if there are any issues, we can adjust scoring.
