The Victorian Masters Series is coming to Mathison Park on Saturday 5 September.

Play one or both rounds across the day or join in with a come and try session between 12 & 1.

No competition experience is necessary and it will be a great opportunity to play a round with some experienced disc golfers to pick up some tips and maybe win a prize.

🥏 Disc Golf League Season Wrap-Up! 🥏

After 2 months, plenty of wet weather, and a scoring app that didn't always want to cooperate, our inaugural league season has come to an end!

While the app didn't quite do everything we hoped, we managed to keep things rolling with the stats tracked the old-fashioned way. Across the season we recorded 114 scored rounds, lost a few discs to the disc golf gods, and most importantly had a lot of fun along the way.

A huge thank you to everyone who participated. It's been fantastic seeing players challenge themselves, improve their games, and enjoy some friendly competition. Some players shot their best scores ever... and some scores are probably best left out of the history books! 😅

I hope everyone has been enjoying our 1st league.
With 9 days left its time to get those last rounds in.
We have had 30 players play at least 1 round with a total of 107 rounds played so far.

I know the Udisc app hasn't worked the way we wanted it to, but I have all the scores and handicaps on a spread sheet.
The way the points will work, our 1st round was to set our handicap for our 2nd round, the handicap was then re calculated from your scratch scores which may have changed your handicap for your next round and so on.

Once the league is completed, I will calculate all the scores. Each round, the player with the lowest adjusted score will get 30 points, 2nd 29 points, 3rd 28 and so on. If two players get the same adjusted score, they will both get the same points. Of course, if we get any new players joining late, it will change the points breakdown.

We will finish with final points total made up for the points you have scored in each round.
This means players that play all 6 rounds do have a better chance of finishing on top of the leaderboard.

I have finally locked down the prizes for our first league.

Time to get those last few rounds in but take care as the ground is still wet on some holes.

If you are playing the course this weekend, there are lots of wet areas, watch out for hole 15, very wet and muddy.

A bit wet underfoot out on the course today but quite a few people out in the windy conditions. Here’s one of our admins taking a par on the 17th.

So we are 2 weeks into our fist league and I wanted to share some stats with you.

1. We have had 21 players join the league, this is FANTASTIC
2. 14 players have played 2 rounds and 2 of these players have played 3 rounds.
3. There have been no birdies on hole 5 and 18
4. There has been only 1 birdie on holes 1, 2 & 6, and hole 14 has only been birdied twice, by the same player.
5. The hole with the highest scores on it, no surprise, everyone's favorite, hole 4

Some of you may have noticed when you log in for your 2nd/3rd rounds the handicap is not added, not sure the app understood how we wanted it setup, or as it was our first time, it was set up incorrectly. So I have got a spread sheet with all the results, with handicap calculated for each extra round after your first round.

I will post the round updates at the end of June and July to give players a chance to get some rounds in, if you have questions or want to know your own results before this, send me a message.

I am also hoping to have some prizes at the end of the league, so stay tuned for this.
