How lucky were we with the rain?!

Thank you for joining us to skip (or not!) puddles with friends and family. It was a great morning! Thank you also to Catherine & Gina from Kingston Council for joining us to listen to our community’s feedback 🤗

Kingston Council will join us with a pop-up engagement activity to collect community feedback on Council projects and activities, helping inform plans and decisions; Dion from Blind Beans returns post local footy season AND it’s Pacer Week!

What a great morning for parkrun today. There were 271 participants with 27 first timers and 39 PB’s recorded.

We welcomed visitors from Surfers Paradise, Bega, Sydney, Cascades on Clyde and Karkarook.

It’s pacer week next week. Please reach out if you would like to be a pacer and assist others with a PB.

VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT - MEET JULIE!

Say hello to this Saturday’s Run Director! 👋🏽
As a dedicated CBp Event Team member, Julie has spent nearly a decade fostering our community spirit alongside her family, supporting walkers, joggers, and runners alike 🧡

Julie’s commitment to parkrun is outstanding -

• Nine years of passion, continuity, and community building.

• 333 parkruns completed as a participant.

• 34 different events explored as a parkrun tourist across Australia and New Zealand.

• 209 volunteer days spent donning the high-vis vest (on paper - many more in reality!)

Ever calm, capable and reliable, Julie is a vital member of the core CBp team. Because Julie knows our event inside out, she handles every Saturday morning scenario with ease. Whether she is managing the timing or stepping into the black and white vest as Run Director, Julie brings years of trusted experience, leadership, and a warm smile to the course 😁

So, thank you Julie for all that you do. Nothing goes unseen and we are so very grateful ♥️

Great to see so many of you braving the weather this morning!

🌟 25 people recorded PB’s
🦺 19 volunteers made this event possible!

Tourists were from England, Launceston, Lillydale Lake, Marriot Waters and Seaford - welcome!

We are looking for volunteers in September, it would be awesome to see more people sign up.
