🌧️🏁 MOTHER NATURE TAKES THE WIN! 🏁🌧️

Unfortunately, Mother Nature has decided to throw a spanner in the works this weekend, with racing at Carina Speedway, Bundaberg, cancelled due to the rain! 🌧️

Not exactly the result we were hoping for, but that’s motorsport! Sometimes the biggest competitor isn’t another driver… it’s the weather! 😂

While we’re disappointed not to be turning laps this weekend, the upside is we’ve got a little extra time to prepare for our next outing!

🏁 RACING CANCELLED – TOOWOOMBA SPEEDWAY 🌧️

Unfortunately, Mother Nature has taken the chequered flag before we’ve even hit the track! 🏁

This Saturday night’s racing at Hi-Tec Oils Toowoomba Speedway has officially been cancelled due to the unfavourable weather forecast.

After plenty of hard work getting the Q20 Sprintcar rebuilt, back together and ready to race, it’s disappointing not to get out there. But that’s motorsport, and sometimes Mother Nature has other plans!

This weekend was also meant to be Men’s Mental Health Night, and while the racing might be cancelled, the message behind it certainly isn’t.

IT AIN’T WEAK TO SPEAK! 💙

Behind every helmet, every smile and every tough exterior, there’s a person fighting battles that others might know nothing about.

Life can get tough, and sometimes the hardest thing isn’t fighting through it, but finding the courage to say you’re struggling.

You don’t have to carry everything on your own. Check in on your mates, have those conversations, and remember that asking for help doesn’t make you weak. It takes strength to speak up.

The strongest people aren’t always the ones who stay silent. Sometimes they’re the ones brave enough to say, “Mate, I’m not okay.”

Until then, we’ll keep turning spanners and getting ready for the next opportunity to hit the dirt!

🏁🔥 THE BEAST HAS BEEN SLEEPING… BUT IT’S ABOUT TO WAKE UP! 🔥🏁

After some time off the dirt, plenty of hard work and a few late nights in the shed, the O’Keeffe Racing Q20 is finally coming back to life! 🩷🩶

The heart of the beast has had some serious attention, with a full motor rebuild, and we’re getting closer to hearing that beautiful sound of horsepower again!

A massive shoutout and thank you to Keith at Speedline Motors for all his hard work getting the motor rebuilt and ready for another season of punishment! We certainly appreciate the time, effort and knowledge that goes into keeping these machines alive! 💪🔥

Back in the shed, things are coming together nicely!

Wednesday is where we find out what the freshly rebuilt heart of this beast has to say for itself! Hopefully plenty of horsepower and all the right noises! 😈🔥

Once the dyno is done, it’ll be time to finish the final preparations, load up the transporter and head to Toowoomba to do what we’ve been itching to do…

We’ve been working behind the scenes on a fresh look for O’Keeffe Racing, and we’ve narrowed it down to two designs.

But instead of us making the final call, we want to hear from the people who follow our journey, support the team and cheer us on.

Both designs mean something to us. They just tell the O’Keeffe Racing story in two different ways.

👑 LOGO #1 — THE CROWN

This one carries a little more meaning than you might see at first glance.

The three points of the crown represent three generations of O’Keeffe Racing — the family history that came before us, where we are today, and the next generation coming through.

Three generations. One family. One team.

The pink, black and silver bring together the modern identity of O’Keeffe Racing, while the aggressive styling represents the attitude we’ve always carried — keep pushing, keep fighting and never give up.

For us, the crown isn’t about being king…

It’s about legacy. 👑

🏁 LOGO #2 — THE LEGACY

This design puts the family side of O’Keeffe Racing front and centre.

The 20 & 23 represent Nick and Cooper and the father-and-son racing journey we’re building together.

It keeps elements of the traditional O’Keeffe Racing identity while giving it a fresh, modern look — connecting where the team has come from with where we’re heading.

🏁 HAPPY FATHER’S DAY FROM O’KEEFFE RACING 🏁

Today isn’t about lap times, trophies or chequered flags. It’s about the people who helped us become who we are. ❤️

I’m lucky enough to experience Father’s Day from both sides.

To my Dad — thank you for the years of support, the lessons, the sacrifices and for always being there. A lot of what I now try to pass onto Cooper started with what I learnt from you.

And to my little mate Cooper — being your Dad will always be the greatest title I’ll ever have. Watching you grow, especially seeing you develop the same love for racing, makes me prouder than any trophy ever could.

Three generations.
One family.
One passion.
A lifetime of memories. 🏁

Cars will change. Numbers will change. Seasons will come and go.

But the memories we make together will last long after the engines go quiet.

Happy Father’s Day to my Dad, and to every Dad, Grandad, Stepdad and father figure out there doing everything they can for their family.

🔧 OFF-SEASON MODE: ACTIVATED 🔧
Should have done this post a few weeks ago however, better late than never.

The chequered flag might have fallen on our 2025/26 season, but there’s no such thing as sitting still at O’Keeffe Racing.

After a massive run through the Thunder in the Cane Fields, it’s time to strip the #20 down and start preparing for the 2026/27 season. 🏁

The motor is coming out and heading off to the doctor for a freshen-up, while the rest of the car gets pulled apart, inspected, cleaned and rebuilt from the ground up. Every nut, bolt and component gets some attention before we put it all back together ready to go again.

And judging by the photos, the little bloke’s #23 isn’t escaping the workshop treatment either! 😂🔧

There’s plenty of work ahead, plenty of late nights in the shed and probably a few choice words along the way… but this is where next season starts.

Strip it. Check it. Rebuild it. Make it better.

The 2026/27 season starts now. 💪🏁

After five big nights of racing at Thunder in the Cane Fields, we’ve finally wrapped up an unforgettable week in Far North Queensland.

Night 4 started well with P6 in Time Trials, but unfortunately our first heat ended early after getting caught up in a crash. It would have been easy to pack it in, but our crew had other ideas. The team put in an incredible effort to repair the car in time for the second heat, and thanks to their hard work we made it back out on track to finish P2. We rolled off for the feature and came home P11.

Night 5 was another challenging night on a tricky racing surface. We qualified P7 in Time Trials before finishing P9 in the opening heat after making a couple of mistakes, although the speed in the car was definitely there. Another small mistake in Heat 2 saw us finish P6, before charging from P14 to P12 in the Feature on a track that kept everyone guessing.

When the dust settled, we finished 9th overall in the Thunder in the Cane Fields series.

While the results don’t tell the whole story, we’re leaving with plenty of positives. We found speed throughout the week, battled through adversity, learned a lot, and the crew never stopped working to give us the best car possible every time we hit the track.

A massive thank you to every sponsor, family member, crew member, and supporter who helped make this trip possible. Whether you lent a hand in the pits, followed along from home, or cheered us on at the track, we couldn’t do it without you.

Now it’s time to regroup, and get ready for the next season 🏁💪
