πŸ“Έ Photography & Video Guidelines

Recently the Queensland Government introduced new child safeguarding laws designed to keep all Queensland children safe.

Caboolture Netball Association fully supports these laws and is committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all players.

These laws place additional responsibilities on all of us, particularly when it comes to photographing or recording games. With the season commencing this Saturday, we would like to remind all coaches, managers, parents and spectators of the following:

β€’ Please speak with your Team Manager before taking any photos or videos
β€’ Approval must be confirmed with the opposition team’s coach and manager to ensure there are no objections
β€’ Always be respectful of all players and families

If the manager advises that there is no photography, please respect this.

In addition to these laws, our bylaws align with the above and maintain that the association recognises the need to closely monitor photography of children and young people. Parents and guardians of junior players who wish to take photographs during a game should consult their team manager. The association will monitor the use of cameras during association sporting activities and will address any suspicious behaviour in relation to the taking of photographs or video footage.

We proudly follow the guidelines set by Netball Queensland and align with the Queensland Government Child Safe Standards.

Thank you for helping us protect our players while still celebrating the game we love πŸπŸ’›

οΏΌ
‼️ Spectator Reminder πŸ’›πŸ–€

The shelters beside the courts will be reserved for players, coaches, managers and scorers only. This ensures that teams and officials are provided sun safe areas during games and quarter breaks as well as quick and safe access for our First Aiders to get to injured players

Remember that spectators are only permitted on the grey areas outside of the shelters in between courts, and the red areas are strictly for umpires to allow them the space to move safely and keep eyes on the game.

There is still plenty of seating options in some of our grandstands around the complex, however, it is always best to bring a chair, umbrella, hat and sunscreen so as to be able to watch your child play comfortably.

Thank you for your support with this.
