One of our East Moreton Youth Members out and about in the 2025 season - Mia Plucknett
Mia has truly grown up in the hacking ring and the Australian Stock Horse arena, spending her childhood and youth immersed in the sport she loves. From an early age, the show ring has been a second home to her, shaping not only her riding ability but also her character, work ethic, and deep respect for horses.
Over the years, Mia has gone on to compete at an impressive Royal and National level, proudly representing herself, her horses, and the East Moreton Branch with consistency, dedication, and quiet determination. Her journey is a reflection of countless early mornings, long days, and an unwavering commitment to doing her best every time she steps into the ring.
In recognition of her hard work, commitment, and outstanding performances throughout the season, Mia was named the 2024 East Moreton Highpoint Youth, a well deserved achievement that reflects both her results in the ring and the way she carries herself as a competitor.
Mia is now embarking on an exciting new chapter as she turns her focus to show jumping a testament to her courage to grow, challenge herself, and continue evolving as a rider. While her path is expanding, her heart remains firmly with the Australian Stock Horse, and she continues to own and cherish her beautiful stock horses that have been such a big part of her journey.
Beyond her achievements, Mia is admired for her outstanding sportsmanship. She is always willing to lend a hand, offer encouragement, and support others, embodying the true values of horsemanship and community. She is the kind of young rider who leads by example, both in and out of the arena.
Mia is a wonderful role model for our youth members, and we are incredibly proud to have her as part of the East Moreton family as she continues to chase her dreams and create her own path within the equestrian world.
