A Big shoutout to Bundaberg Clay Target Club’s President…
Mr Darren Large.

Not only is Largey an amazing trap shooter but as it turns out, he is also very talented with a rifle. Recently, taking out Second Place Overall, at the SSAA Bundaberg Q32 - Annual Long Range Precision Rifle Competition, for the second year in a row I might add 😅

Congratulations Largey!!!

Also, a shout out to the other BCTC members showing these rifle shooters how it’s done 😅 Connor Large, Barry Fisher and the Legendary Jimmy Riggs.

Congratulations to the SSAA Bundaberg Q32 Club for putting together such a great event and a big thanks to the volunteers who make these events happen.

We had several of our members go to our neighbouring club, Maryborough’s Annual 2 Day shoot over the weekend and had some awesome results 🤩

QCTA State Trap Carnival 2026
&
Roma Clay Target Club Two-Day Annual Trap Carnival 2026

What an amazing week of shooting at the Roma Clay Target Club, good weather, good targets and great people. Amazing hospitality and of course the infamous Ross Cummings “Scottish Elvis” show!
The Roma Club hosted two awesome events with some 329 shooters competing at the QLD State Carnival and 290 shooters competing in the Annual Club Two-Day Carnival.

Bundy’s star Junior Clay Buster, Connor Large, was part of the Beretta Australia and Roma Clay Target Club sponsored, Junior Pathway Program this year.
Connor put in an awesome effort in the Junior Shootout Event, missing out on shooting off for the top spot by one point, shooting a point score of 72/75. He then went on to shot off for B grade honors, shooting another 20/21, taking home the Bronze medal. Connor also finished the Roma Two Day Carnival 4th Overall for Juniors against a stacked field and shooting consistently throughout the State Carnival.

The team also dropped in for a look at the QCTA hall of fame. Finding some old photos of our much beloved, Rob “Coach” Rehbein.

All in all, the team had a great week and is eagerly looking forward to the trip to Gem Fields in 2027.
A massive thank you to the Roma Clay Target Club, QCTA as well as all the sponsors and amazing volunteers that make these events so great.
