What many people don’t know is that our story started long before Semper.

Al and Em have been friends since their very first day of kindergarten, when Al asked Em to help pack away a puzzle because she was terrified of the kindy teacher. We’ve basically been helping each other ever since…

Fast forward to today, and we’re incredibly proud of what we’ve built together.

A studio where people come to move, but stay for the community. A place where everyone is welcomed, encouraged, challenged and supported. Where strangers become familiar faces, friendships are formed, and movement becomes something people genuinely look forward to.

As we celebrate our second birthday, we’re feeling incredibly grateful for every single person who has walked through our doors, trusted us with their movement journey, laughed at our questionable jokes, and helped make Semper what it is today.

Here’s to two years of movement, community, laughter and plenty more bad jokes to come…

Just like a toddler, we’ve learnt to walk, found our voice and occasionally tested boundaries.

To celebrate our second birthday, we’re giving the gifts this June!

Two Years of Semper Pilates 💛

Two years ago, Semper Pilates opened its doors with a simple vision: create a space where people could move well, feel supported, and enjoy the journey. Al was returning to her passion of sharing her knowledge of movement with her local community. A year later, Em came on board, and together we’ve continued to grow something truly special.

What we’re most proud of isn’t the studio itself, it’s the community that fills it every day. The friendships formed between classes, the laughs shared, the encouragement given, and the way people walk out standing taller, moving better, and feeling a little lighter than when they arrived.

Many of you came through our doors as strangers, but you’ve become part of the Semper family. Thank you for trusting us with your movement, your health, and your time.

Here’s to two years of movement, connection, and community… and we’re only just getting started.

These classes are absolutely FREE and are all about bringing more movement to our community through Pilates focused on moving well, great technique, feeling stronger and having some fun along the way.

Join us the first Monday of every month at Freshwater Surf Club for Mat Pilates (9:15am) and Wednesdays at 1:30pm at Semper Studio Pilates.
